Again IB is here and again players in a...... wait for it..... CBMM game.... have to put up with those 2-3 players on the opposing team who are racking up kills cuz u just cant kill them. How is this freakin possible. Why are the people who pay a hefty price for quality internet getting shat on for those who dont. Its a -blam!-ing joke. Connection based my ass.
That is all

Edited by WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 7/25/2016 12:22:07 PMI watched a Warlock in an IB match over the weekend teleport around in an unusual way. Actually his whole team was doing it but this particular fella was going all out. I witnessed him run at a team mate then blink backwards right when my team mate went for a shotgun blast. My team mate was fuddled a bit then died from the warlocks's Last Word. I rushed him later to see if he would do the same. He did. When he was at a distance I hit him with a full Telesto round. He blinked forward and killed me with a shotgun blast just before he died of the Telesto explosives. The blinks were definitely not an ability. Flat on his feet and just disappeared and then reappeared. I watched him go from the ground to an upper level walk-way in that fashion to. How in the world are people doing this? I never saw this in trials though. I just got my ass handed to me fair and square. I gotta remember to record this stuff.

I met a mega lagger today

I have to agree. This IB seems worse than previous ones. I've had some ridiculous cases of lag in this run. At one point, I had to just walk away from the game when I used fist of havoc on a group and watched as every person died except for the lagger who was right in the centre of the ground slam and walked away COMPLETELY UNHARMED. He'd been blinking in and out of existence throughout the match. If this was an isolated incident, it would be one thing, but it's been an absolute cancer throughout this event. The matchmaking is TERRIBLE this time. So few games are close scores. It seems to just keep going from one extreme to the other; back and forth. You mercilessly crush the other team. Then the next mercilessly crushes you, then you crush the next team... and so on and so forth. Honestly, Bungie, we just want a game with consistency, and this just doesn't cut it.
-
Oh yes I know what you mean.
-
When I saw let the laggers win all I could think of was twenty one pilots...

We actually came against disappearing laggers and still could beat them. It was a little harder but if someones bad they're bad.

Iron banner lags cause Bungie never altered it to be compatible with all the Nerfs they make
-
So I've heard about how there's this bug with Iron Banner rep boosts and it got me thinking.
If you know me then you'll know that my insight isn't always good.
How much of Destiny is actually glitching out and has a problem with it? We all are well aware that Bungie has been tight-lipped over this game in general let alone in regards to the actual problems. Are there still class bugs that we aren't aware of? Is there a reason why certain weapons are doing poorer than others? Is matchmaking for Trials designed solely to benefit certain players? Better break out the tin foil hats folks, there might be a conspiracy involving your favorite Conspiracy Theory.

1 ReplyIt is the game not the players. Battleborn and overwatch have dedicated servers and their pvp plays beautifully.
-
Just switch your console to wifi and move it away from your console and you'll be laggin' with those other guys lol
-
It's been happening on all Peer to Peer based shooters since COD- the laggiest players are at the top of the scoreboard 90 % of the time - unfortunately, until these people get better internet, it won't change or maybe dedicated servers? This is also not likely because COD has been promising this for a decade- that's why I like BF games - if you lag, you just sit in one spot and get shot... Easily. There are very few lag switchers in BF or other dedicated server games because there's no benefit overall. TTK is longer in Destiny but imagine how awesome this game would be with dedicated servers? The red bars, would eventually get kicked from the game and poof, problem solved.
-
Yep almost every match.
-
Yep. Pretty much
-
Bungo doesnt care... they got their money already. Next DLC pre sold less than TTK, ok lets put the sparrow. Bungo's logic.
-
Hey I've never ever had a problem with lag in iron banner until this one. I pay for the best Internet money can buy and it's been absolute horse shit.

1 ReplyIf only Bungie could take the same idea that Respawn Entertainment (creators of Titan Fall) had & put intentional Laggers on the same server. Yet they won't because they're cheap, greedy, & don't care about us loyal guardians. I wish I could take my stick off the ice & whack them over their heads.

I always get the people who live halfway around the globe, and its like Uuuuuuuuuuggggghh!

3 RepliesIt has more to do with p2p gaming rather than your personal Internet speed. I really wish people would stop assuming someone with a red bar has bad home internet. I've seen myself, in 1 single match, go from green, to red, to green, to yellow, to red, back to green. Why, because this game isn't based on you searching through dedicated servers, connect to that server, and your connection quality to that server is constant, but rather p2p with a dynamic console host switching. The whole article is informative, but definitely read the "pvp vs dedicated servers" and "lag" sections. I especially like how Destiny is continually being referenced as a negative example. http://gamingbolt.com/ten-reasons-online-gaming-will-continue-to-suck

2 RepliesEdited by HyperVigiIant: 7/23/2016 6:26:37 AMAlso, regular PVP is less laggy! The servers can't deal with one activity having so many players participating in it at once. In this day and age, every AAA game should have multiple dedicated servers.

19 RepliesI've gotten one character up to rank five. And that's about all I'm going to be doing, I think. I got wrecked in a match (warlock, running 330 light) by just about everyone on the opposing team, most of which were under lv 40. I think only one was above 300. It was that level 19, though... Light level 96. One shot with a shotgun at long range. I have essentially three times the light level, and I'm still getting one-shot?

3 RepliesWatch your radar. Why bother, getting killed by people who are not showing up on the damn thing! Any match with red bars, they are at the top. Double down, triple down, why, because the twat don't die! It's not good!
