I'm a SOLO player and I'm 335. Thanks Bungie for fixing Destiny
I almost play exclusively solo. I'm 35 with family and a kid and a demanding job.
I don't have time to learn to ride and my schedule make social game very hard. My average session of play is less then an hour, and I have no real life friends with a ps4.
So before the April update I quit destiny because I was stuck at 310 light and cut out from most end game content.
Then after the update I come back and...
Thanks to Iron Banner (a couple) I got 325.
Thanks to improved reputation drops I got to 330
Thanks to PoE and CoE i got to 333
Thanks to Sterling Treasures I got my hunter finally looking good (to me obviously, before it was more then one time described like the worst looking hunter in the game.)
Thanks to my new light level I can now solo endgame content like Nightfalls and court of Oryx and I finally made it to 335.
Now I can also enjoy completing missions that was too difficult for me to solo with a low light level.
I just felt to say thanks to Bungie for fixing the experience for casuals like me because I'm now enjoying this game like never before. You got one satisfied customer ready and looking for the next DLC.

Mostly a solo player here too. Only done Oryx twice, once on normal, once on hard. Stopped playing for the Division back in April, but I started playing again not too long ago.

This update follows a similar pattern to House of Wolves by letting players go wild with gear after already having steamrolled the best content they could throw at us for a given Year in Destiny, that being the Raids. A new Raid will come and the whole sandbox will be once again be adjusted to extend playtime of a newly released Raid.

6 RepliesI've been mostly solo since November. I hated the infusion system being a solo player. Still haven't done kings fall, it's just too much work to find a team, learn with that teams and then rely on everyone being skilled. I was a newbie who knew nothing about how to raid. My first KF I barely messed up while these little raid masters kept dying, even though they were telling me what to do. I was quiting until the April update changed the infusion and gave me a chance at actually getting max without devoting everyone second of spare time to this game. Thanks bungie

Up until maybe 2 weeks ago i was solely playing as my hunter since the update and only got to 331. A couple weeks with warlock and ive got him up to 333. Thanks iron banner :)

Same boat as you man. I quit when house of wolves came out. Now I'm having a great time when I do play. Not worried about having to raid is great.

Enjoy the infusion system while it lasts because you know as well as I that it'll go away come the next DLC...

Honestly, I hadn't been solo till recently. I had a full raid team plus rotations so I never ventured into the wilderness alone. But by the time ttk came out. My whole raid team was gone. I was stuck at 309. I just started playing again last week and have already gotten up to 318 on my warlock, and brought my dainty little hunter from 260 up to 303 in mere hours. Destiny hasn't completely won my heart back. She hurt me too bad before. But I finally don't feel like I need to rely on others to enjoy the game

This is me all the way. I hate raiding. Have done some trials and went flawless a few times but i love playing solo. Mainly since all my buddies quit haha. Keep up the good work OP

Congrats buddy, I'm not a solo player and haven't hit 335 yet. Tell you what though, as far as i'm concerned a 335 is a 335, but the raids are some of the most fun in this game. I seriously recommend joining an adult clan/ group. Mine is only Xbox One or i'd invite you in. Find a group with a couple hundred members and a group wall open for members. You'll make friends and since their adults there will be people with the same issues you have with game time. Playing with a group you get to know a little and enjoy playing with will change the whole game for you. As for anyone on XOne, 30 years or older, feel free to come check us out. People that act all salty about this are just being dicks. If you have a team or friends that you can run with that's great. There are those of us that have friends that left the game long ago but still enjoy playing. I don't like trying to find randoms to play with. I've been on here since alpha and still love playing and now that I can still get the things I want from the game same as other non solo players there is nothing wrong with that. I paid the same as the rest and should be able to enjoy it the same. Hell I might have paid more since I own the game on all four platforms. Stay salt free Guardians

Not hating but i think when bungie caters to solo players they are killing their game. The game was created to a mmo/fps hybrid. If kids really wanna play solo go back to halo

A lot of people complain about Destiny. It actually, with all of its faults, is a great game. If you don’t believe it, go play Packman until you reach 60 days playing time. Why people play the game one way and then are against other people enjoying the game playing another way is beyond me. If you like Raids, fine. Go Raid. If you like to solo. Fine, go solo “whatever”. I don’t care how you play and it makes no difference to me as to how you got to 335. How you play, what you enjoy, what you accomplish, and how you did it has no effect on me whatsoever. Now I am not too different from most people. My tastes are pretty average. So, if I don’t care, why do you?

This thread makes me want to get off my Solo binge and get involved in the Raids. Shouldn't force myself into soloing a game made for teams. I've slowly over time become "that guardian". love the game, and need to realize i'm not only hurting myself, but other's experience as well.

If it wasn't for the group of people I play with, I would have quit a long time ago. Running a raid or grinding out rep in Iron Banner is pointless after you reach max level but playing with a great group of people that make you laugh all night.......that's why I still play this silly game. Do not overlook the social aspect of the game, because of Destiny I have met some great people and we have a lot of fun together.

Congrats! Solo player all day too. Destiny is near its ends so it's a good thing we all can finally experience endgame content without all those enlisted.
