I see it on these forums all the time.
Person A: *says anything*
Person B (who disagrees but can't coherently articulate his feelings): Your KD sucks, kid.
That's not how you argue, just saying.
EDIT: This game is hella casual. Who cares about KD in Destiny?
EDIT 2: FoMan123 gave a brilliant response. Check it out below. Also, we're trending.
EDIT 3: To those commenting on my K/D, which is admittedly negative, you have missed the point entirely. Bad stats in this game don't matter. Good stats don't matter. Only one thing matters: fun. This is not my opinion; this is the way the game was made. It was designed for and marketed to casual players. Anyone who treats it like, CSGO, per say, is delusional.
-
People tend to bring that up when someone is calling for a major change to crucible and they are terrible at pvp. They don't deserve to change every other players crucible experience so they can get a few easy kills.
-
6 RepliesKD is a statistic, statistics are often used in arguments so yeah....
-
Its just because you are self conscious about your negative kd.
-
If they argue about something being op or something being terrible or useless then kd matters.
-
2 RepliesIt's because usually they just got put in their place and have no reply. So they resort to absolutely anything they can think of to try and flip the argument. K/D isn't a reflection of skill. The amount of times you could be letting someone try out the game, or in a lot of cases, multiple players on one account. In addition to this some people could be trying to use a specific weapon only whilst everyone is using the best guns. There's try hards and those who take it easy and then those who do both. So K/D doesn't mean a thing.
-
3 RepliesThere's a lot more factors that go into determining one's skill other than just KD (playlists participated in, combat rating, kills overall, etc.), but if anyone tries to use KD as the main focus (sometimes any) in an argument, that person's opinion is already worth nothing. The logic behind using KD in PvE discussions is simply idiotic, yet there's also times where they should be taken into some form of consideration; ie. Weapon balancing. Oh, and this is coming from a "good" KD.
-
2 RepliesWhy is it that only players with low K/D's make these posts though? How about you just stop caring what other people on a game forum think about you and your gameplay and just focus on having fun with your friends?
-
Edited by Revenge Of Taco: 4/21/2016 4:46:22 AMWhy do people say that kd doesn't matter in this game and also say that this game is extremely casual??? If it's casual and you have a low kd, you're most likely bad at the game.
inb4 random excuses

aaayy lmao
Don't tell us what to do... Taken Tot
-
19 RepliesKeep seeing people saying his KD sucks. So since I have the highest KD I now own this thread right? Cool. Now stop it....stop....bad kinderguardians. Know your place. (If my KD is beaten i will give up new found ownership. Must have more than 10k kills on that character.)
-
3 RepliesAre you freakin KDing me??! Seriously?
-
This. I didn't get offended when I was rejected from joining with flawless group in trials. They were actually quite nice about the rejection lol. But I'm a PVE player, I.e. raids. So, using KD as a reason for trials (in this case) makes perfect sense.
-
the only time KD matters in a game is when match making is based on skill and there are no parties. then you are teamed up with players of equal skill and you aren't playing an MLG team. too much in destiny are you playing with 5 noobs and against a fire team of 6 been flawless guardians all with last words and shotguns.

Don't take the children seriously..only life they know is the life provided for them...

This is importand cause? YOu suk kid my kd is 1.43 get gud. Jkjkjkjkj dude. I understand what u mean, I hate when people argue and they bring up your kd.

Fūck ya KD bruhh, meet me at the tower, dance off bruhh
-
I never do. K/D doesn't mean jack shit lol
-
But what If the arguments about k/d
your k/d sucks
-
My kd sucks. I suck. I'm very inconsistent....but I still have fun playing this video game.
-
1 ReplyIt's like saying Person A: *says anything* Person B: (Insert one of the following) *You're Poor *Your car sucks *You're White *You're Black Like honestly, that's not an argument, that's just being an @ss

Nerds need something to brag about.. Might as well be video games ...
-
My Warlock K'd is terrible because I purposly die to come back with purifier robes and blind all those tea baggers : )
-
1 ReplyIf I'm in skirmish and I'm going 20-9 and I get teabagged by someone who goes 3-16, you can bet your left bunion I'm sending that kid a message about how I banged his mom and how his KD sucks.
bad b8 m8
-
I wish I could feel that way. I'm actually hesitant to use my Stormcaller in the Crucible because his K/D is unnaturally high, and I know if I play him, it'll drop. At least now, I have the illusion of having one Guardian who doesn't suck.

It's like people who call games casual....
