Why is there so much hate?
I absolutely love Destiny, I started playing it daily about a month before TTK. I loved it when I got it and I love it now, it is basically the only game that I play any more. Unfortunately, when I come on the forums almost all I see are hate comments, comments that bungie needs to nerf this or nerf that, and people being down right salty. It is an awesome game!
What is your favorite thing in the game right now?
Currently, I have fallen in love with the treads upon stars and I have been having fun grinding for strike exclusives. [spoiler]A good rolled imago loop is evading me. [/spoiler]
Edit: you people are not understanding the freaking point, all I am trying to do is bring some positivity to the community, and I am just stating that everybody seems upset about something. So far the only comments seem negative towards me saying that I "haven't been around long enough." Lighten up people!

About the start of December I decided to start playing other games other than Destiny like GTA V and Call Of Duty BO3 after Christmas.There are many reasons as to why I decided to leave it at the bottom of my pile of games.I wasn't having fun anymore.The game was too repetitive because of the lack of DLC or creative content.Also,The weapon choice was at a minimum.I didn't like the fact that all the things we worked hard for in year one and 365'd we have to work to get back again because blueprints aren't worth the legendary marks due to the low attack/defence level.I also didn't like the fact that Bungie were slowly releasing year one and two weapons/armour into the game as an excuse to be lazy and release more proper content into the game.I paid nearly £40 out of my own money for dlc content that practically is useless now (Dark Below and House Of Wolves)that is a lot to me because I'm 13 and can't get a job legally.The Kingsfall raid became really boring and after I got a high light level the rewards weren't satisfying because It dropped the same stuff most of the time usually only 1 attack/defence higher or lower.Challenge mode was too easy this made everyone reach nearly max level too quick.The events were greedy because it showed you were thinking of the crappiest tiniest things to make money and this is slowly leading into affecting the game eg. Synthesis are now for sale.Finally the servers they have always been so laggy this caused me and my fireteam problems in Trials Of Osiris many times so we gave up.Also please bare in mind I played this since a few months after release.

I played year one left because no one in the community would play with me because everyone was so up tight. Now I have met tons of people. Some really cool people and to me that is the golden essence of Destiny. Which sadly they don't make easier to meet people. I feel they should have a forum up in the tower or a better want to communicate with other players. I once met a kid because he climbed the tree in the tower and just waved at everyone who went by. That's how my clan the tree of friendship came around. People get lost in wanting to be the best but that's not what Destiny is seeing how the best at anything doesn't mean anything or get you anything is destiny. It's playing with friends meeting new people and having adventures together. I can tell you from playing a lot of PvP lately you start to get salty but get some friends in there and now it's just fun goofing around using bad guns and seeing how good you can do or trying to get only shoulder charge kills and seeing who can get the most. People need to let go of the lone wolf and make some friends and just have fun with it. And this is from the master of being salty. Everyone knows my saltyness but get some friends in there and it all goes away.

Using Hammer of Sol to incinerate swarms of Thrall. Using Invective to perforate swarms of Thrall. Using Sunstrike (with Cauterize and Stoke the Forge) to just plain knock their frickin' heads off. In case you didn't notice, I really don't like Thrall.

This game has some of the whiniest people I've ever seen. I love raiding, used to play a lot of WoW and raiding was all I did in that game, but it became stale and our guild fell apart. Picked up this game and started a clan, been having quite a bit of fun ever since.

I'm glad you're happy. But some of us have been slapped in the face too many times to be appreciative about it. Bottom line if you enjoy it, play it. And if it makes you mad, play something else.

From vanilla to dark below and from dark below to HOW and from HOW to TTK (though we thought of it as "comet"). Now we're in the dark being fed small bits of info each week (from a company that has shitty inter-communication), we have no [i]f[/i]ucking clue what the next big PVE content is, and pretty much everything is getting stale now. All the new content they're talking about or giving us is PVP related. Meanwhile PVE players are doing the same shit every week hoping that an RNG on top of RNG loot system drops them the things they need to finally hit 320 [spoiler]but it never does.[/spoiler] From a leaked screenshot/picture it seemed as if there was gonna be a new vex and then cabal DLC if I remember correctly, but obviously that isn't happening unless it's super delayed and bungie is acting like it doesnt exist, or maybe they're taking all content they had in store for those and making it Destiny 2 and buying time with small free events and cosmetic microtransactions until they can put that stuff out as Destiny 2.

1 ReplyI don't hate Destiny, I hate people. I hate casual gamers that only care about having fun no matter how awful games like Candy Crush is for the industry. I hate fanboys that think Skyrim and Oblivion sucked because Morrowind. I hate developers afraid to try something new because why bother when Call of Duty doesn't and makes billions every year? I hate publishers for buying devs I loved and forcing them to spew out sub par content for a quick buck and then shutting them down when they don't meet demands. But I don't hate the games, its not their fault. Destiny was great, but people ruined it like they ruin everything else. This is too depressing, somebody make a fart joke so the negative thoughts go away!

They apparently can't play other games or if they do, frequent said games forum. Generally people like to troll the Internet , especially the demographic around here which is about 14-24 I'm guessing . Bungies fault though, they need to moderate this place really hard , start swinging the ban hammer on trolls and mass deleting their threads .

Unfortunately it has always been like this. Doesn't say much for the state of the youth. You've probably tried Reddit which is less aggressive but even that has become more negative in the last couple of months (just with wittier comments). I play destiny nearly every day and have done since it came out. Overall I think it is an amazing game.
