Now we need to spend real money to complete the Halloween quests. It sure must be a lovely holiday... at lest for Bungie who gets to rip it's entire playerbase who already spent a shitload on this game off.
EDIT:
Lol, with this many idiots defending Bungie it will only be a matter of time before you can use Silver to upgrade light levels on items as well.
EDIT 2:
It appears you don't HAVE to buy the items with real money. You do have to grind A LOT to complete the quests if you don't however. This is not "purely cosmetic" and is most likely just the start as they're trying to see how far they can go with these micro transactions without losing their playerbase. In the future we can thank all the retards who spend money on this for the fact that most things in the game will be available at the speed it takes to process your credit card.
However much hate I may have for Bungie, I do wish to thank them for the mute system though. It's like insecticide against retarded teenagers. Thank you for a cleaner forum.
EDIT 3:
About an hour and fifty odd dipshits muted I realize I've spent way too much time posting here, so I'm officially stopping right here and won't be posting more comments. Not that it's been much of a point anyways since an adult conversation is impossible on these boards and I've been forced down to the level of those whom I've muted more than once.

Took me an hour to get all the masks I needed to do the quests. Sooooo
-
Lmao the quests dont even give you anything really and maybe you should research before you rant instead of putting an edit saying your retarded
-
I love people that post crybaby stuff then have to put edits in when they realize they are morons and there was no reason for the original post. Always entertaining :)
-
I only read the 1st sentence and no you don't need to spend money.
-
Start playing Destiny and you'll get the right to say dumb shit like this.
-
So, how's that tinfoil hat? Just the right size? Not too tight? Good. Enjoy it.
-
Yeah, I saw this as just another reason to grind. Then I thought, do I give a f*ck about some masks or quests... and the answer is... nope. I hadn't played destiny in a couple of days and probably won't until the next IB. I thought about playing for this event... but just couldn't bring myself to do it. An event that has masks that give no light, it's just for fun - no purpose or substance. But grinding isn't just for fun, ain't fun at all. So, I'll stick with bfh and witcher 3 and when Nov 10th comes along the only time I'll play destiny over the following 2-4 months is for IB because I like the armor's appearance.

I like how you get mad a everyone for proving you wrong, and you second edit shows that your original post is wrong and misinformation.
-
So Mom said no dice eh?
-
This is all for cosmetic you idiot. Not one mission for festival of the lost rewards you with gear or weapons.... Just more masks and consumables.... Please shush and stop playing.... It's just fun... Why does everyone have to ruin it....
-
Close the door on your way out!
-
2 RepliesOh noes. You can buy a package that will give you RNG loot that may reward you with a telemetry or a enemy glimmer consumable. Why oh why would Bungie ever.... Oh you mean I can buy those at the gunsmith for glimmer? And the enemies drop the glimmer consumables? And my ghost gives me the same buff? And, as a day 1 player, I've got hundreds sitting in my vault? Oh... And I just noticed I've been at the glimmer cap this whole time... Well... Shit...
-
1 ReplyGrind a lot lol......
-
1 ReplyITS JUST LIKE BUYING CANDY OR DECORATIONS TO CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN YOU TWIT.
bungie is just our digital PartyCity
-
It'll get worse over time
-
You legs must hurt after jumping into all this conclusions
-
1 Reply" you do have to Grind A lot!"..... lol the satchel fills in 2-3 pvp matches and the only reward for finishing the event is more masks whoopie
-
6 RepliesOP, and others like him, are what's wrong with the Destiny community. Some people are just hell bent on making Bungie the enemy in every possible way. It's so bad that we can't just enjoy a fun little event because these people are up in arms about how this might potentially someday possibly maybe (OMG it's happening!) lead to a pay to win scenario! Honestly, the fact that Bungie is giving people a way to get the items for free, rather than just restricting them to silver-only transactions, argues AGAINST the OP's point. You either earn the cosmetic items through gameplay or you choose to spend your money on them. To make matters worse, if you don't agree with the great, omniscient OP, you're clearly an immature teenager not capable of debating with reason and logic. Ok...forcing your opinion on others, restricting choices people can make with their own money, silencing all debate on the matter. Check, check, and check...OP is a socialist. God forbid anyone be free to choose how they spend their hard earned money...

Reading your vial stupidity literally gave me a headache...
-
2 RepliesImagine what Christmas would be like ;-;
-
25 RepliesYou kids might wipe the floor with me in the crucible, with your reflexes that haven't been deadened by age and booze. And you can probably play an entire strike without having to get up in the middle of it to pee. But I could buy like a hundred Thriller dances.
-
Out of pure curiosity, what do you have to buy? How is it pay to win when nothing does much of anything? All you're doing is collecting, there's no reward and nothing boosts stats. I'm not buying anything, bit confused as to how you see this as paying to win.
-
Well the ninjas have been busy on this thread. Sliced and diced this bitch all kinds of up
-
2 RepliesThey already started with pay to win, but secretly. The class armors you get for $20 at the beginning could level up the new subclasses faster and are exotics that effect the light level of your character. Has nobody noticed this???? That was micro transaction, smh...
-
Dude the quest rewards are purely cosmetic and all they give you are the same rewards you get from candy bags. Which take less than 3 minutes to fill up. Jeez.
-
I got a rare mask after one crucible game so...seems fair to me.
