Is No One Gonna Talk About The Fact That Xur Sold an Armor Piece That IS NOT in the Blueprints?
Title.
Xur sold the Skull of Dire Ahamkara. This helmet is not in the blueprints as a Year Two helmet, even after you buy it. It was also NOT confirmed to be moving into Year Two prior to TTK release. I bought it, who else?
Crazy conspiracy theory: what if Xur can sometimes sell a Year One Weapon or Armor Piece at Year Two Defense/Attack values? That would be awesome!
EDIT: In the title, I did say Armory. My mistake. I meant blueprints. Will change to avoid confusion.
Edit 2: We're trending guys. Thanks for the feedback. Apparently everyone is excited about my conspiracy theory. Lol just remember that it's only a theory it is not confirmed.

7 RepliesThey already released a bunch armoury adds, which is the gear you can acquire in addition to the original year 2 upgrade gear. Sorry to bust your bubble, or your conspiracy rather, but you can go to the armoury and see which gear will be sold yourself. For the record there is no gally and never will be, get over your crutch.

Most if not all y1 exotics have a y2 counterpart in the armory database.

This simple fact is why I bought the Helm. I even brought this up Ina post when Xur appeared on Friday. I think it's because the helmet was added to the database and it was accidentally activated for Xur but was not activated for the rest of the game (i.e. drops and exotic chests). Once it is activated for the rest of the game we will see it added to the blueprints.

I noticed. I also got a 310 starfire from an engram on the same day. Even after I got it, it's still not on the wall. Maybe soon I'll get my manacles back!

I too pointed this out to my friends but kudos to you for making a post on it. It is a little odd to me as well and I wonder if that was an oversight on their part. What annoys me is I would have been ok buying it for legendary marks rather then using coins from xur.

Remember, Bungie stated that there would be a Y2 version of almost all exotics. My theory is that, because of its base perks, Bungie unlocked this helmet as a test to see how it performs in Crucible prior to ToO's release, and to gauge what changes, if any will be applied to the Sunbreaker sub-class. Again, just my theory.

They said according to a report on planet destiny that eventually all year 1 would make it 2 year 2. I'm not surprised by this. I don't think we'll see gjallarhorn but I'm hopeful because all these boss fights aren't any harder without it lol. They just take longer
