Xur useless except for 3 of coins
How is everyone with Xur the engrams he sells and armor pieces are useless for anyone who plays consistently, the 3 of coins gives you the best for your strange coins. What have you gotten from your drops?

I've gotten 4 of one hunter helm out of 5 engrams in the last few weeks, and the other wasn't for my class.

I mean...I just buy the armor piece for my class and a butt load of coins every week. I just like it for collection purposes.

1 ReplyGot 3 exotic engram drops today from 3oc and all 3 were helmet engrams that turned out to be duplicates. I thought bungie introduced a smart rng system to cut down on duplicates

No one is ever happy with Xur lol. But yeah it's a bit lame that his armor is on the lower end, same with blueprints. so in the end if you get luck out of three of coins then yes that's the best deal.

You are using them all wrong then. Wait till your at atleast 300 light then start using them. There is a chance he will drop exotics at 310. Use them to infuse. Boom...

6 RepliesI'll tell ya what I'm pissed about, is the fact the Bungehole did NOT fix the loot tables to where you're less likely to get repeat items. Ha!!! What a joke. I've gotten more repeats ever since TTK, than I ever have since day 1 of playing. Literally have received SEVEN alpha lupi chests, and all of them for Titan. Not even one for the hunter, that would at least take some of the repeats away. With all the old year 1 exotics., plus the new ones, we should be less likely to get repeats just by the sake of having more loot in the table. I think it's broken. Sharded my 3rd Jade Rabbit.

I bought 2 engrams and got a 310 graviton and a 310 knucklehead

He's not useless. The year 2 engrams are decent. Instead of buying the celestial nighthawk I bought the helmet engrams in the hopes that I would get a 310 celestial nighthawk, and I did.

I think they should bring back selling weapons that are rng based like how they used to, but raise the prices on them so it feels like you have a choice to make. This would make xur feel more important again as well as make the player weigh their options. For example, Do I buy this exotic primary I don't have or risk it for the three of coins and possibly get more than one exotic? A small tweak to xur like this would make it worthwhile for me as a player anyway.

I don't know about you, but I've been getting 310 drops from the exotic engrams I've bought from him.
