How to obtain a sword (legendary):
Once you finish the main questline, you'll get a quest from Cayde in which you have to place beacons all over the Dreadnaught ([i]The Vanguard's Hand[/i]).
After completing this, you'll get a quest called [i]A Broken Will[/i] from Shaxx.
For this, you need to find 25 Hadium flakes scattered throughout the Dreadnaught. You also need 10 motes of light. Once you get these, talk to Shaxx again and he'll give you the refined Hadium, which you can use to pick one of the three swords.
[b]How to get Hadium quickly:[/b]
Each chest has a flake, so there's not really any RNG involved. Look inside rooms in the walls. Sort of like where you'd expect enemies to spawn. Just use the main spawn area and look around. Once you can't find anymore in that area, go back to orbit and start again.
The reason why I say to stay in the main area is because there aren't that many locations on the rest of the Dreadnaught where they're right out in the open. The spawn area is your best bet.

The mausoleum is the best spot there are quite a few rooms that can have chest spawn in them

A hunter with keen scout can see chests on the radar

8 RepliesI'm actually quite disappointed by swords. While the damage is good you use up ammo WAAAY to quickly. Swiping with the sword should not use ammo if you don't hit anything. Also, blocking drains ammo like crazy. I blocked one attack from a taken knight and went from 23 ammo to 0 ammo. I'd like to see them be just a little more powerful to make up for all their limitations as well.

Edited by SCFCKMP: 9/17/2015 8:47:19 AMSomeone put a post up yesterday showing where to farm hadium, in the mausoleum at the far left (right at the bottom) there's a corridor that takes you to an area called the furns (or something similar) as soon as you see the location change to furns head back out to the mausoleum and there are 3 caves along the same wall, check in each of them (sometimes there are chests in more than one), then jump through the window of the crashed space ship (you'll see it hanging from the ceiling opposite the 3rd cave), there's usually a chest in there. Repeat and every other run you should get 2/3 chests (so long as you go far enough down the first corridor to see the location change). I got 25 hadium in about 30 minutes yesterday.
