So was I banned for nothing?
I just got on Destiny and it says I cannot use my Trials armor/gear and I can't go into iron Banner. I have never cheated/lag switched my entire life. played Trials a lot and other content, anyone else having this issue? What gives, was I banned or something or is this a glitch, I can speak out for everyone I have not cheated.

38 RepliesThe same happened to me, all the butthurt kids think we hacked but are in fact better than them and can't take it. I was incorrectly banned and crucible is what keeps me playing this game and the fact I can't play gets me frustrated.

I think that a player that isnt able to establish a online game environment at home is a cheater too ( lan cable, no wifi; forwarded ports; aso) ... All of that penetrates the serverperformance if not granted, and is to kick/ ban. Also players who are using their network for other things during gameseasions. Just my opinion!

3 RepliesFun fact. 99% of the people that are posting about their innocence are lying and are either directly responsible for cheating or took part on teams that involved cheaters. Even if it was for something where you just have bad internet that causes really bad lag that effects the match in some way, you know when your lagging like that and you know that you shouldn't have been playing. I hope you all get a perma pvp ban till destiny 2 comes out.

1 ReplyEven if you 'weren't cheating' your other post where you make a fuss about your friends internet connection (interesting how you also immediately point to a connection issue btw) makes it sound like to me, that at the very least you knew that he was AT LEAST lagging and giving you an unfair advantage. At this point you are knowingly taking place in creating a disadvantageous atmosphere. Even if you yourself really were not manipulating the connection, you still knew you were in a group that had this 'issue.' It's also quite mysterious as to why IMMEDIATELY after these bans, a TON of posts start popping up to let Bungie know how they weren't cheating or how they don't 'deserve' it. Long story short, you violated the Terms of Service or End User License Agreement and directly caused other players to be at a disadvantage. If you don't want to be banned for cheating then don't cheat, and don't play with people who cheat. Like if you don't want to be accused of aiding theft and murder, then don't be the getaway driver at the bank heist.

I will believe it if and only if Bungie admits to some sort of mistake in their ban procedure and apologizes. I highly doubt that your friend was cheating and you had no idea. Wouldn't be much of a friend. And as far as lfg goes, I've lfg with groups that wanted to cheat, they told me straight up and I backed out. Cheaters aren't very smart, if they were, they would just figure out how to get good at a game. Not like it's rocket science. Most of them straight up tell on themselves. I know one thing. If I got falsely banned I wouldn't be on here crying about it and looking for attention. I'd be on the phone with Bungie screaming at people until they lifted the ban.

I don't care to check your stats, that doesn't PROVE anything either way. I will say that Bungie will surely have a margin of error and there will be "collateral" damage in their efforts. i could personally give 2 shits about it but if you are honest and didn't cheat i'm sorry it happened. I don't pvp. I would imagine if you were really good or facing these fn nerds that play pvp and are really good, some of them will report you if you're beating them badly. I can't prove that but the report feature is certainly abused. I will only use it under an extreme circumstance or, i think there's an option to report someone for POSITIVE behavior. Wonder if anyone has done that? Hell no lol. Good luck hope you get your game back and all that. If you cheated, that's just what happens bud

But you saying this as if it's "right" then they must of done perfect "research" on the auto rifle nerf, and many other things in destiny right? My friend and I always do Trials to help he has a shitty connection I don't he lives in an apartment complex filled with college students wasting away his internet. He will go red bar, but not from a lag switch, from someone upstairs watching porn. This community makes me sick, and to this "temp" ban I would love bungie to simply say where they got their proof, because all I see are matches I won/loss with no leaving unless from the random xbox-live outage the 24th and after. People report cause they suck, sorry I was decent at the game having "fun" and got banned for that. Now I can fear if people LFG they can be banned NOT knowing their PARTNER is cheating. Even when they are not even cheating, they were just not blessed with those high Mbps. I am a clean player, but bungie did their "research" and thought otherwise. Also how about dedicated servers first bungie before this "researched" way of banning people rolls out, because I have seen LEGIT PLAYERS get a temp ban because of this peer to peer servers make them the bad guy for their connection when we are the damn server cause you don't wish to spend that extra cash for dedicated servers. Absolutely sickening, also love the harassment from stupid kids in EVERY "I am banned?" Post childish, go back to playing cooking mama.
