People Who Stream For Money Are Ruining The Gaming Community
If you stream for money shame on you. Gaming should be a hobby not a job. You people begging for money make me sick. I don't know what's worse the people streaming for money or the idiots who donate to them?

They are doing something they enjoy and love instead of slaving away at some crappy job they hate. I respect all of the streamers I subscribe to and wouldn't think twice to donate to them. Some have helped me out on certain games and are knowledgeable in aspects of the game that I'm not very smart at.

If I had a 40hr/wk job, I'd stream. But I work between 60-70 hours a week so I can't. I don't hold it against anybody who streams and gets donations.

4 RepliesJust because it isn't a "traditional" form of entertainment, doesn't mean that it's not a job. How do you view musicians? Or singers? A singer says words in a way that people find it enjoyable, musicians play music that people enjoy. On the other hand, not everyone enjoys music! Btw, this isn't just for musicians and singers, this can apply to almost any job. My point is, there is too wide of an interest range in society to say that streaming is pointless. There's always going to be people who need money. Streaming is literally never going to stop. There is always somebody interested. Just saying though, I completely agree with what you said about people who beg for money. That isn't right for them to do. But I think there could've been more specification in what you said, because not every streamer does that.

This is but an OUTRAGE that should be banned alongside Kickstarter's crowdfunding, extra-life's charity work, and all of those youtuber's like Pewds who have only brought gaming up as a medium in the Entertainment industry and have added to the success and development of gaming as a whole! Now, did that sound wrong in any way? I think so, good on these guys. Even if I myself don't watch Destiny content creators outside of certain Youtuber's I don't support outside of subs and likes.

Many things, it usually starts out as a hobby, and people start to like you, then you get to start making money. Two, many people donate to charity who are streamers. Three, people who stream aren't usually doing it for money, it's just an added bonus.
