Most of the time hearing a British accent would be quite a common thing. The fact most Americans don't even own a passport means hearing a British accent is a novelty!

Also means most people get some accents wrong, I'm Australian and half the time I get mistaken for a Brit. Although to be fair I mistake the Canadian accent for an American one all the time.

I'm from England and get mistaken for being Australian quite often lol. I don't know why, I think our accents are very different
