Thankfully for those that let others do all the work in strikes, your time will come that you should get nothing. Just dealt with one in the weekly strike where I led this guy all the way through to the Nexus

I have only had to leave one because this dude continually died on purpose, only left because I didn't want him getting free loot. If people quit I just keep going and someone joins eventually.

2 Repliesi joined a roc strike and while in the loading screen i got loot and completed a bounty. (actually got TLW) When i loaded i saw 2 guardians dancing and 10 seconds left on the timer. was like oh cool free loot. All i gotta say is Karma. Your time will come when rng blesses you for not being a douche.

I've had this happen to me several times on weeklies since matchmaking became a thing. If someone sits at the beginning of the mission or isn't active then I message the other person who is playing and we find a spot to sit while we go grab a beer or a snack. it's irritating but eventually they give up because they aren't willing to wait as long for their free loot.

If a player ever carried me, and it's happened maybe twice since I started, I always make sure I'm available for that person if they need a hand with anything. I dont mind carrying people as long as they are reviving the fireteam.

2 RepliesOn the nexus. If you stay up top it is cool. I'll stay too. But if you constantly stand in front of me while I'm shooting I will solar wind you off. Pay attention to your teammates and there won't be a problem.

6 RepliesThere should be no join in progress for the weekly heroic strike. Happened to me and a buddy yesterday. This kid joined when we were at the nexus. He jumped down and hid on a ledge. After we beat the nexus, he gets a legendary engram. Im aware its random but he finished with no kills and did nothing to contribute. Im aware that were supposed to report but i doubt with only two reports that bungie will take notice let alone take action.

Me and a mate often grab a random 28 at the tower and run them through the nightfall, they are lucky to get 1 kill but the rewards at the end is exactly what noobs are looking for. Casting my mind back to a deej post at xmas in which he said "take them under your wing" which we have and now they could potentially be banned??

8 RepliesDuring a roc strike (sepiks) a guy left right at the beginning and the other was a free loader. Solo'd the whole thing with black hammer and at the end got a legendary engram. I deserved it.

It's worst when they are leaguers and just decide to hold everything until you leave, if your league was so important, you wouldn't have had to do the weekly with just two.

I was on a crappy strike run last night, omnigul (joined at the end, me and the 1 guy that was there finished it off) back to back flayers ( once with two guys that did NOTHING till the actual boss section, and I dropped one( when I spawned in halfway through the game, the other two left) then the undying mind (me and another Titan 2 manned it after a hunter did nothing past the very first area.). I've never had so many afkers/crappy strikes lined up. I'm usually matched up with kick ass players that make me fight for most kills. I couldn't believe,not only did I get a bunch of lonnnggg strikes back to back to back etc, I mostly had to do it alone. Total props for the omnigul guy tho, he stayed after two other douches left, and had her down halfway when I got there. He had 533 kills on the mission summary screen. Kudos to you man!

1 ReplyIf you have the time and the non-afker (if there is one MMed with you) doesn't mind, go about 1 or 2 checkpoints/waves into the strike and then just pop a squat. Usually after a few minutes the afker gets the hint and starts helping or leaves.
