is Destiny a christian game

Destiny is not a Christian game! I am no longer playing destiny, I just get on the website to talk to people. Destiny is absolutely not a Christian game, there is nothing you can say about this game that will change that. God doesn't want us associated with witches or wizards or warlocks. Galatians 5:19-21 from the Word of God says " Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.". God does not want associated with witches or warlocks for entertainment. The only reason we should be around a person who is a witch or a warlock or a wizard is to spread the gospel to them. Jesus said in Mark 16:15 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.". Jesus didn't say don't tell the gospel to witches, warlocks, or wizards. It's sad looking through these comments. It's sad because so many people look at Christians as hypocrites and people who only caring about themselves when it was never suppose to be that way. Many people profess Christianity but act the complete opposite, mis-representing God to people and influencing them to want nothing to do with God. Christians are called to love people, it shouldn't be because they 'have' to, its a privilege to be able to love people, but we can't love people without God because God is love. People aren't our problem and it should never be a Christians problem. I'm almost 18 so it's not like I'm a 10 year old who follows what their parents believe. I do follow what my parents believe but even if my parents gave me the option of following anything I wanted, it would still be Christianity because God is real to me, Jesus loves me and gave Himself up for me selflessly and He did that for you too!!! I've seen how much some Christians who are 'normal' love people unconditionally, not looking for anything in return. Christians........some of the most happiest people I've ever seen. I for one experience the joy that comes with serving God. I've seen God touch peoples lives and heal people, it's amazing what God can do, after all He is God. There's so many denominations of Christianity and not everyone of them are right or represent God correctly. A Christian should only follow the Word of God and not add or take away anything from God's Word. Whoever is reading this, Jesus loves you!!! You are so valueable to God!!! God has a plan for your life!!! I wanted to tell you part of my testimony. Around the age of 15-16 is when I believe I became real addicted to video games. I became a real problem for my parents at the time. If my parents asked me to go do something then I would probably get annoyed and not want to do it because I guess I was too busy playing a video game. Me and my parents argued a'lot back then. I started playing destiny I think when I was 16 and I was hooked on it, this game destiny became my life back then. I probably spent 100+ hours on destiny a week and probably would have spent more time if I had the chance. I was wasting my life away on a video game. I was suppose to be a Christian too but I sure wasn't acting like one. I did things I knew I shouldn't have been doing probably. One night when I was playing destiny I feel like I knew where my life was headed, i felt like my life was headed to hell. I wanted to start serving God. Basically if I remember correctly it was either that same night or another night that I took my ps3, my game headphones, and other video games and threw them in the dumpster. This game destiny isn't worth wasting your life over if you still play this game. A video game is really pointless when it comes down to it. a video game is really to let time go by. We have so much more to live for than wasting our lives on video games. God loves you and wants to transform your life. God took me to a point in my life where I probably never thought I'd reach. Have you given your life to God? God is not this hateful God like people may make Him out to be. God loves you and wants to have a deep relationship with you. God sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins and to die for us to get us back to Him! God thinks you are so valueable that He sent Jesus to shed His blood for you. Romans 6:23 from God's Word says "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.". Do you accept what Jesus did for you? If you want to give your life to God then confess the Lord Jesus and believe that Jesus died for your sins and believe on God who sent Jesus and raised Jesus from the dead. Ask God to forgive you of all your sins. Romans 10:9-10 from God's Word says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.". If you are running away from God then I encourage you not to! God wants you to come home to Him!

The Traveler is Jesus. The Darkness is Satan. The Traveler sacrificed itself for mankind, to save them from the forces of darkness. This is a quote from the Speaker (who speaks on the behalf of the Traveler represents the prophets of God) "In the Travel's dying breath, it created the Ghosts, to seek those who have been forged in light, and guide them on their journey". This is very similar to when Jesus ascended into Heaven and told the Disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit (Ghost) to come upon them and lead them to teach about Jesus everywhere on Earth. The Stranger also has a quote that is similar to a quote from the Bible "So because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold- I am about to spit you out of my mouth" -Revelations 3:16 "The Awoken, they sit there at the edge of the light, wavering between the darkness and the light. A side should always be picked, Guardian. Even if it is the wrong side" -The Stanger Also, the Guardians are revived at the beginning of the game. The Bible tells us that we are born again when we accept Christ. In the game, you make the choice to be a different class as well as a subclass, each with it's special purpose and all being useful within the various activities of the game. These are spiritual gifts such as, wisdom, knowledge, healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, and interpreting tongues. So, in conclusion The Traveler = Jesus The Darkness = Satan The Ghosts = The Holy Spirit The Speaker = The prophets of God The Guardians = The followers of Jesus Guardian Powers = spiritual gifts Fighting the forces of Darkness = Preaching against evil Getting killed in the game = sinning

Why not bash some Muslims, or Hindu's, or Bhuddist, or atheists, or any other religion that doesn't believe in the Bible? Oh, that's right!! It isn't POLITICALLY correct to bash anyone BESIDES Christians!!! There are CRAZY people and liars in all Countries, faiths, sects, cults, etc. Ask yourself however which group is FAIR game for criticism and which groups aren't? Furthermore, those nasty and horrible and wretched Christians do more good and charity for the world than ANY other religious group combined. So even with the bad that Christians have done, the good they have done for this world FAR outweighs the bad. Why then are they attacked?

1 ReplyThis post is a response to all who have responded to my posts, whether good or bad. I want all of you to know that I do not hate, nor despise any of you who are not Christians, or who do not like or even hate me. In fact, I love all of you and wish for all of you to come to the knowledge of the Truth and Light who is Jesus and escape the damnation meant for the devil and not mankind. If you do not believe in God, this is COMPLETELY your right. It is also your right to state boldly that there is no God, or to disparage Him, or blaspheme Him, or even to insult and degrade Christians who believe in Him. However, just as you have a right to state boldly your beliefs, I as well have a right to state that I DO believe in God and my main goal for posting the majority of the posts I have in this thread is defend the God I serve. He was blasphemed, derided, insulted and degraded, as was His Word and His people. Therefore, I felt compelled to stand up and defend God, as well as His Word and His people, but mainly God. People whether Christian or not are not perfect, and so I wished mainly to defend God who is my source and strength, because I put my faith in Him and not necessarily in man, since man will fail me, even myself, time and time again. So for all of you who have vehemently attacked me, feeling justified in your response, I simply ask you to ask yourself why you felt the need to say the things you have, when I was merely trying to defend the God I serve while challenging you to consider why you feel comfortable to attack Him, but not other gods? In saying all of that, I wish ALL of you well, and that you have much success today, and the rest of your days. I wish no ill on anyone, even though I am truly sad to say this probably isn't the case with many of you who have insulted me. That is okay though because I forgive you even if you still hate me. I also ask for anyone who was offended by what I said to please forgive me, since I did not desire to cause harm to anyone. As stated before, I was merely standing up for my God since He was bitterly and vehemently attacked. May God bless you and keep you is my prayer.

There's nothing in the Bible where God said [i]not[/i] to shoot alien freaks in the face (unless that's another chapter I slept through), so yeah, I'd say the game is pretty Christian. Kill bad guys, loot their shit, celebrate, and repeat: it's like the Crusades all over again!

Honestly if you have to quantitate a religious view to the game to play it, you shouldn't be playing it. You are in for a rough stretch in your teenage years if your parents are that religious. Sorry.
