I've been going through some of my old games for the Xbox and the Xbox 360.. And man some of those little booklets where so high quality. That feeling when you drive home from the game store and you get to read the booklet on the way home.. That's something that my kids or hell, even my little brother will probably never experience.. Kind of makes you think..
*stares off into the distance*

.......yes!

The witcher 3 had one of the best in my opinion
-
Yeah. I learned a lot about racing from the pamphlet in gran tourismo 3.

1 ReplyOmg yes. I would buy a game as a kid, and I would read the booklet on the way home so I would get a basic feel of a game, and because it was just cool. It's sad to hear that doesn't exist now due to digital games. Oh well. This generation won't experience it like we did.

2 RepliesDark Souls 3 came with one. Seriously one of the last games you would expect to have one.
-
Loved them, and loved reading them, giving descriptions of characters and weapons, they were like an extension of the game.
-
3 RepliesI miss them because they were fun to read while I was in my car coming back from the game store it would help me understand the game more (or just hype me up even more than I already was)

Witcher 3 came with one.

1 ReplySo who necro'd this lol...
-
Oh yeah, I remember guild wars came with a freaking book
-
Yes I miss them a lot! I remember when I was a kid I would literally read them just for the heck of it. Some of them were really cool and even gave a back story to the game! I was also pleasantly surprised when I opened up my copy of The Evil Within to see a very lengthy instruction manual. Ahh how I miss the good old days.

I feel ya man

Still have my classic Halo: CE phamplet.
-
1 ReplyLego games ones were the best
-
Bump. Use to read it in the car ride home
-
1 ReplyYup, sadly that stuff is being phased out by digital manuals. I did like opening my Witcher 3 case and seeing a "thank you" note from the devs inside it though.
-
Final fantasy always had huge booklets and something about having a big instruction manual makes the game feel more "complete" lol I miss them tbh
-
5 RepliesI love reading those
-
2 RepliesI remember buying guide books to video games but now we have the internet for that
-
The original halo manual was really good. It described the characters and all the weapons in detail and sometimes gave tips on certain weapons
-
I miss the GTA pamphlets with all those dumb advertisements and stuff. Good times
-
I would do this but with my music CDs. Iron maiden pamphlets as far as the eye could see.

Yes and then they started saying "Look online for info" :(
