Just saying, you have been working so hard to get that lvl32 gear leveled up so quickly..
Then HoW comes and Casuals will buy their way up to lvl33..
You have 3 options.. Go to the HoW raid as lvl32 characters.. Or also buy your lvl33 stuff and enter the raid same level as Casuals.
Or you burn out and quit destiny, Which one is it for you?
My point is... Dont rush up. There is no need to be at the top of the peak.. Play at your own pace and enjoy destiny for years.
Rush up, and you will burn out.
EDIT 1:
Also, Grinding is a bit less Grindey when done a little less.. Hence you can enjoy the game more.
Wife/Girlfriend/family/friends/name your activity will also be happier. Its a Win/Win situation really.
EDIT2: GOOD news! Designer Luke Smith has commented something related to the release of HoW.

EDIT3: IT HAS STARTED TO HAPPEN SOONER THAN I THOUGHT!

It depends on your experience, I don't care I'm just having fun.
-
I mean I'd rather be 32 now and have no problem with nightfalls or raids and when the new dlc drops I'll just run the raid as a 32 like I ran crota at first as a 30 until I got all my raid gear
-
31 RepliesYour just saying this because you're not a 32. Get Better.
-
Yeah let's just stop playing all together and wait for the very last DLC and Expansion to come out then start playing. #Satire
-
6 RepliesActually, I won't, my plan is 2 weeks before to start getting marks on both my titans, and then like 2 days before I will do all the bounties so I have ten bointies in both my titans, then when it is released I will buy the new vendor gear, put it on while I turn in the bointies, and I can use the leftover marks for mats to fully upgrade my gear so I can become what I'm guessing is level 33
-
1 ReplyIf they do it the same way as last dlc my teammates and i will be 33 half an hour after launch. All my characters will have crucible, vanguard and factions just a patrol away from the next rank, maxed marks, upgrade mats and glimmer, and 10 5k bounties to turn in. Then we'll go crush the new raid.
-
Finally just got one character to 32 yesterday! I'm with you, take it slow and enjoy the journey!
-
I find the raids fun and do them for that and when i get a piece i level it up, this doesn't mean next raid will be any less fun because i will buy my way to 33 and level that stuff up also
-
True, I have a feeling most won't learn this until after HoW is released lol
-
I'm only looking forward for the weapons, other than that HoW here I come.
-
Or they could make the cap 35. Vendor gear to 33, IB and other special stuff to 34, raid to 35. Problem solved
-
2 RepliesEdited by CAMPING CAMPER: 1/20/2015 4:32:49 PMI'll have 30 finished bounties waiting when they sell the level 33 armor. I don't mind the grind and I'll be doing it again when HoW comes out. I will have one character at level 33 within an hour or two after HoW comes out.
-
Why would I quit? Who cares if gear becomes obsolete...it's not hard work just fun...you have no clue why people play games. When you "max" in something, eventually the game becomes pointless...
-
Cheese is the problem. U rush and put in the time/effort to get 32 then everyone cheeses the raid and gets 32 anyway so then u feel burnt out because your time and effort gained you nothing more than every casual who plays once a week. Dont get me wrong im not saying people shouldnt cheese. The problem is caused by destiny not testing properly. If their QA team isnt enough then hire more. This is meant to be the most expensive console game to date and its got more bugs than BF4!
-
2 RepliesI'm hoping they keep the tower gear the way it is. Mmos should have gear progression. Alienating raid gear every 4 months is bad design
-
I'll actually be happy for level 33 armor because that means beating hard crota will be easier. True pros are already stockpiling marks now for the March Rush.

You have 3 options.. Go to the HoW raid as lvl32 characters.. Or also buy your lvl33 stuff and enter the raid same level as Casuals
...while i am not disagreeing with this in general, i would like to know what makes you so sure there will be lvl33 gear sold by Vendors after HoW? i mean, Bungie's already changed upgrade materials as well as several other lvl-affecting mechanics, so we might as well see some further changes/adjustments to how things are handled, hm? just an idea then next thing i wanted to say is, even so people CAN actually buy their lvl 31 now, which seem to have upset many VoGers, i still see many people stuck at lvl 28-29, and i think the reason for that is: while you CAN buy the gear, you CANNOT buy the Ascendant Materials needed to level the gear up ;) and i have only seen too many people with the Vanguard gear completely unable to get past the Normal VoG, not even talking about Hard Mode
-
3 RepliesIll have all the items to get a 33 set next xpack. Ill store my crota raid set beside my vog raid set for when I am running them for mats/drops
-
1 ReplyMy own pace happens to be rushing to the top, so -blam!- you.
-
1 ReplyI think transmog would just be an all around good solution Ppl who just buy the vendor gear will look just like scrubs look Meanwhile well be running around with a vog helemt and a ce chestpiece etc. It's all about looks not levels. Let vendor scrubs be vendor scrubs. They'll never obtain the gear we raiders will get and have. Or the weapons. U always have more as a hardcore raider than a casual.
-
1 ReplyI agree with this 100%. I'm actually a rush up, I like to or want to be on top. However, I'm finding myself burnt lately and playing less and less, trying to keep up. At the end of the day this game rewards the casual players, why? Because it's the MAJORITY and to keep the game alive they need ppl to play. The hardcore players are few. It's kinda sad but that's the MMORPG/GAME world we live in. My friend got the game months after me and is already caught up, same status as I am. He's put in less than half the time and is equal to me in level and gear (not exotics). It just comes to show that being the highest level and what not eventually comes around and you don't even have to work half as hard as those who rush to be the highest for (1-2 weeks of fame).
-
How is this argument even logical? Neither I nor my friends quit when The Dark Below came out. I doubt many others did. If anything, hard raiders will be the most likely to stay because they are the most persistent Destiny players.
-
10 RepliesThey should have made it so you had to be 29 to buy it. Just because with all the gear at its lowest you are 29. Would have been a fair option
-
Yup this is why I do not care for raiding. Plus playibg with pugs isnt for me and I don't have the time to scout around for decent players
-
So after HOW we have to wait for comet to be released that's a very long wait with iron banner to fill in time every two weeks as any event. Comet will most likely be the same as destiny alot of hype alot of promises and alot of cut content to be sold back to us with vanguard having gear to sell which will rise above past.. present.. future raid gear very vicious cycle.

Upgraded sword breaker instead of hitting Lvl 32 cause I thought rushing to it was stupid
