Best PvP exotics (2.0+ k/d only)
Alright, I'm calling all those who excel at destiny PvP to give their opinions on the top exotic weapons and armour for PvP.
In my opinion, the best piece of armour for PvP is the Hunters' Knucklehead Radar exotic helmet. The ability to always be able to rely on radar even when in gunfights simply allows you to be two steps ahead of anyone else around you.
What are your opinions on the best exotic gear for PvP?

this is a very easy question to answer. the last word + sniper (LDR 5001, supremacy, praedyth's revenge). fastest kill times in game. with skill this setup can be deadly. 2hko primary wep, 1hko secondary. this is what I use and several other top players use. talking, top 100 ranked players. I'm not intending to sound elitist, it's just from personal experiences of playing these people.

Close quarters - Last word, found verdict and launcher/lmg Mid range - Hawk moon, Light of the abyss, launcher/lmg Long range - thorn, Ldr, launcher/lmg Hezen vengeance/ corrective measure or jolder hammer

dont have a 2.0 KD since my house mate enjoys playing pvp and isnt as good as i am, but i frequently get above 2.0 in games. I'd say the best 3 weapons in the primary slot are hawkmoon, TLW and thorn. secondaries i use either snipers and shotguns. and in the heavy slot use deviant gravity A or jolders hammer. The best current heavy you can buy is the Against all Odds heavy MG

Thorn. Don't need exotic armor for PvP imo. But, for Hunter I use Achlyophage. Titan I use insurmountable Skullfort, and warlock I use claws of Ahamkara.

Played with Knucklehead Radar for a day, went back to Achlyophage Symbiote and noticed a massive change. If you're a largely Close-Quarters engager (Last Word/Shotgun/Fusion Rifle), Knucklehead is the best for it. If you'd like a more ranged approach, Symbiote or Third Man could be more beneficial.

Thorn, Last Word and Found Verdict are my main weapons if i'm trying. As for armor, symbiote for hunter and claws of ahamkara for warlock.

I use fusion grenades. -thorn : pop pop dead - secret handshake from vanguard or my pocket infinity - Jolder's hammer or hunger of crota or ghorn

2 RepliesThe best piece for Warlock has to be Voidfang for voidwalker and Praxic for Sunsinger. Don't see the new exotic warlock armor to be that good.

Best primary AR, Suros. Most OP weapon currently? TLW, easily. It's ridicilous how it can drop you in 2 bullets. Best Rocket Launcher, Truth > Gjallarhorn.

For my titan I use thorn and armamentium for a grenade spec map control build. TLW is better for warlocks and hunters who have infiltrate specs

Gjallarhorn is an overkill, Icebreaker is overkill (Efrideet can potentially be so much better), Invective is not worth it, 4th Horseman is even worse, Red Death I don't have so I couldn't test it at all. Patience and Time can be useful, but your invisibility is ruined by that sniper glare. Pocket Infinity is obnoxious, but can be used well. Universal Remote is usable, but your playstile will demand serious changes. Other I haven't mentioned are simply bad, or never used in PvP.

TLW, Vex, Thorn, Suros, Red Death. All the best PvP primary exotics. If you don't believe me check my KD and that's without me caring about my KD in this game.

1 ReplyI actually think the helmet with 4 golden gun shots is better. At least for Gunslinger. If I fun arc blade than I run knucklehead radar.

2 RepliesEdited by LimitTester: 1/7/2015 12:25:32 AMI use the last word for close range maps, thorn for mid range and hawkmoon for long range, for certain map I also tend to use mida, but usually hawkmoon it anyway out of laziness. For specials, again...depending on map, close range shotgun, mid range fusion, long range sniper, but depends on my mood as well and for heavy's, usually machine gun for all maps except for skirmish & salvage, for those I use rocketlauncher. Vex is in my vault gathering dust, -blam!- the Vex. I'll wreck you with any handcannon anyday.
