Destiny playerbase to drop sharply in the next month
Sometimes I wonder why I'm still playing this game; stuck in the "Skinner box" feedback loop I guess. I think that will change soon, and Bungie's amazing metrics from September and October will look very average at best. Why? Competition. Destiny your competition is almost here and they do what you do, better. Call of Duty: more maps, more modes, and more story (shockingly). Far Cry: Waaaay more varied PvE, actual characters who have, you know, names and motivations, and risk-taking gameplay (fighting on/with animals). Bungie your December DLC had better be LOADED with content if you expect this game to last past Q2 2015. It is no longer fun for me to run the same story missions, strikes, raid, and PvP maps that I already have 100 times before. New planet, new patrol area, or no more of my money. Players, let your dollars speak; it is the only thing Bungie and Activision will hear.

Cod:AW, Far Cry 4, GTA:PS4 Edition, Dragon Age: Inquisition. These are just a few of the games whose "destiny" it will be to replace Destiny on my PS4. And unless it changes from the unceasing boredom simulator it now is, I can't see me playing Destiny ever again

It's already been dropping. It'd really sad too since I was so stoked for this game. I truly wanted to love the game and I wanted to believe they would change the game for the better. Sadly this isn't true false promises have finally gotten the best of everyone and more and more the fan boys are becoming mute even they know it's becoming bleak. Instead of trading the game in I'll just shelf it for now since like most of us I got the expansion maps on pre order.

He shouldn't be trying to change gaming by intervening on artistic direction. I'm positive they chopped the game up only to sell it in spoonfuls. They thought gamers would be dragged along for ten years of this? LOL!

I'll be playing Lords of the Fallen in a few days and then I'll be playing DAO Inquisition. So, I'm pretty much done with Destiny.

I'm as hungry for content as the next guy. .. but I would still say I've gotten my moneys worth. there is definitively stacks of turd games for the same price that you won't log a quarter of the time you log on destiny.

For real though, what really grinds my gears is that Bungie says "They listen to our feedback". Honestly that's a lode of BULL, it's been almost two months since release and they haven't responded to jack. I'm just tiered of hoping for change in a game that we all want to love, but sadly can't due to all of its shortcomings.

I agree with this. I'm going out later today and getting something else to play. I can't stand this anymore so so so bored to death with this game. Every week just hoping for the raid gear the BS RNG won't give me. Even Xur always has the exact same crap. I'm losing interest fast if not entirely already. I was so excited for this game and a month and a half in I can't stand it any more. Even the bounties repeat 3 sometimes 4 days I a row. Same daily missions over and over. I doubt even new content can save this game. The luck based leveling system makes it no fun whatsoever. And strange coins for nightfall rewards not to mention less than the weekly!? Last raid I did I got nothing but materials. I feel forced to move on.

All the dlc will have is two strikes one new raid and some other crap. No new planets are coming. All you are buying is the rest of the game that should be free. What a scam!

To be fair COD will have a major impact on most if not all games player count. Not just destiny.

It's just like every other super hero movie these days, nothing new just repetitive ideas from the past and people will buy into anything they are told to. Only if a larger majority of people actually realized this, it's a bummer to say that it seems like destiny is headed in the same direction
