Three words M.C.C. Bungie will get beat by remakes of their own games.

I think the only reason they will see more people switch to CoD is because they hollowed out the story for Destiny to make it more pvp focused to draw in the same crowd of people who play CoD year round and don't give a damn about a good story. They wanted to ensure sales met the cost so they made destiny appeal more to the mindless shoot things in the face group of players instead of delivering what they hyped at the beginning. In other words, they (whether that be Activision or Bungie) got scared about sales and made a halo-ish call of duty instead of a "shared world shooter".

You do realize that people can switch games and still come back at a later time. I will take a break next week to play MCC and CoD, and then Dragon Age the following week, but I will still raid and play with friends. I mean I get it. I think this game was very overhyped, and the lack of story is crazy. I am working on my 2nd and 3rd characters, and it feels like a chore. There is no compelling reason to play other than the drive to max out my characters. But, I guess I just hope it will get better, so I am not ready to just totally quit. Plus, I got the season pass at release, so I am committed to it until both expansions are here. Seriously though, there is still a large amount of people playing this game, so even with an impressive holiday release line up, I think Destiny will still be just fine. Now if 6 months from now, the same connection issues and glitches are still prevalent, along with no movement forward in story telling or depth, I can believe Destiny will take a huge hit. There will be too many games out that have huge potential for long term enjoyment, and without improvement, Destiny might very well take the beating everyone who is angry is predicting.

I agree with the masses, this game is so (if not to) addictive. I cant even explain why it is so, but I really enjoy it. However there is points where I think how much more time or money would it actually cost to include the blatant things that are missing. It seems 99% of the game is done. Just trivial things need to added to improve this game 3 fold.

I won't be buying the DLC. Their empty promises on the original game were enough to dissuade me. Sunset Overdrive will have to hold me over till dying light and Evolve release.

Something tells me that the dlc won't bring players back for more than a day want a good pve. Come to destiny. Want a better pve that will last more than 1 day. Buy skyrim. Still a great game. Want a pvp that doesn't have kill trading. Buy COD (sadly.) want a pvp that may have kill trading but not to the extent of destiny but more fun. (Halo MCC. Likely the reason xbox sold as much as it did. Not a fanboy and psn servers are far worse than microsofts.) loot can only hold people so long. Random isn't rewarding. You need to tune down the RNG a bit and all the caps you have. Your casual audience won't buy the DLC and i can get much more for my money. You won't sell destiny 2 on hype if this continues. I know they won't give free DLC but thats the problem. You aren't giving you customer anything. Good graphics sure but i couldn't care less about graphics and in my mind halo 2 still looks good. Music is great but i wouldn't buy a game just for the music. This is honesty and unless every game thats coming out flops massively. You won't survive long. Casuals will buy a better game and they are not loyal fanboys. They just move on. Destiny could have been a great game and anything you have tried that innovates just crashes and burns. You know nothing of an MMO besides raiding and how many people have raided. Ask yourself that. I know it won't work with matchmaking but that doesn't change the fact it's the best part. I know a lot of people will say BYE but at least wait until MCC comes out and don't be disrespectful. The money is not the issue, the issue is lazy developers and why do a lot of work on a game to make little money when you can do little work on a game for a lot of money. In the end its about enjoyment and when games involve grinding expect heavy playtimes from everyone.

I'm not getting the "DLC" which is already in the game and on the disc. I'm not buying a season pass or any other kindve pass for Destiny. The only way I'll even think about buying it Is if they sell it for a fiver. And you've got more chance of finding rocking horse Shyte than that happening. So as of the 31st goodbye Destiny,you could've been amazing,you promised us the world and a deeply cinematic story driven game. What we got was a highly polished turd. F**K Bungie & F**K Activision. I'm hoping that bad sales plague Bumgie and Activsion an that the company's go down the toilet and that other game developers and publishers take note or suffer the same fate.
