Ok, so please feel free to correct me...BUT all these planets, with beautiful scenery and flowers and such. Has anyone else noticed that there are absolutely no animals? I've only seen crows in the opening scene and beginning of earth patrol, and a dragonfly in a cutscene for Venus patrol.
Along those same lines, every single enemy is either bipedal(walks on two legs) or is a robot. This is either the most unimaginative game ever or an integral part of the story.
Can we please get a public event for a Badass alien on mars that comes out of the ground? Or a 6 legged scorpion beast on Venus that comes out of a cave?

1 ReplyJust to let you know:
The Fallen ate all the dogs, cats, squirrels, and pandas.
I hope your Guardian wasn't hoping for a pet with a more amiable presence than Peter Dinklage.

I was quite weary of this as well. Also, what happened to the dragons? In the launch trailer we see a zoomed-in sniper up into the sky, and we see a ducking Dragon! Now it's just an empty, but beautiful sky box. I would have also liked to see living foliage, like carnivorous plants, or interactive fungi; just anything to make the world feel alive!

This was talked about to death during open & private beta tests. Does not look like there is any intention to make these living breathing environments be living breathing environments. The "hostility" of a planet is determined by its atmosphere. Not its atmosphere, wildlife, enemy presence, and paranormal threats. When it comes to plantary threats Destiny draws more from the Science side of "Science Fiction" than the Fiction part.

2 Replies...What did you expect from this game? Something good? God, can't you just appreciate the fact we GOT something from bungie and stop whining about things that would make the game better?

2 RepliesIt's because the fallen, give, cabal, vex, humans, awoken, and exos were the only things that survived the firing of the halos, fool

Orbit is the worst thing in the game.

2 RepliesUmmm im pretty sure in the story/grimoire the reason there are no animals has been explained (atleast from what I read in another post)

I agree, if there are humanoid enemies on the planets, there should be some feral wildlife there too! Hopefully something they will add with the expansion. Really, these worlds need to be a little bit more living/breathing. They look great, but there is no life to them. How about the green pools deal me a little damage when I walk through them? Or maybe we get some crumbling from the falling over buildings? Little things that wouldn't take much effort, but would really make the world come alive

3 RepliesThe biggest issue is animals? You must be high lol

1 ReplyI also wonder what happened to the rest of the human race besides like the 10 on the tower.
-
5 RepliesThat would require scripted environments and additional 3d modeling. Sorry, but Bungie/Activi were out of budget to include this feature.

If you were an animal, would you hang around gunfire and death? With big ships and machines slaughtering everything that moves? No, realistically, the animals would be hiding and not sticking around
-
3 RepliesIf you look in the sky on Venus there are what I'm pretty sure are space dragons.

8 RepliesAnimals couldn't be on the moon without a suit, and mars isn't terraformed.
