I personally could care less about stats, but that is just my opinion. If you play for stats cool that's your choice. To me it's a game & like any other game I always play to win. Come on let's face it whether you're playing sports, video games, board games, or anything else that involves a W/L , losing always stinks. With that being said just remember whether you're winning or losing make sure you're having fun, because if you're not then there really is no point. We will all be getting our digital fix soon and the shakes will finally stop on 9/9 : ) See you star side Guardians.

2 different statistics entirely. You could dominate every match personally but you can't win the game by your self. K/D - Personal W/L - Team

Edited by CheckForAPulse: 8/31/2014 11:14:14 AMCombination, I try to keep my KDR up but try and go for the wins at the same time. But, sometimes it's just a worthless excercise if your team are of no help whatsoever and at that point I just go for KDR. Really having a padded out KDR and rubbish W/L means jack in an objective game mode, just means you barely contribute to your team while you sit back trying to get kills.

K/D son

Neither stat means shit. I let other people play on my account. I like to explore areas on PVE where I know I will die, because.....why not. You have no control over who drops out of pvp in matchmade games.

12 RepliesEdited by Cordic_Cyberpunk: 8/30/2014 11:41:40 PMNeither. Shitheads that think these stats matter need to try harder in real life and get out of their parents home. Fact Its a game have fun !!!!!!!!!
-
I don't care i play for fun and to relax. If you're a PVP fanatic then K/D is what you look at.
-
I dont think w/l is accurate because id consider myself an above average player but I dont really have friends to work with me to get the win.
-
Both is my answer. But thats the fun of gaming to me. Ima dirty little stat whore.

Edited by Booplesnoot: 8/31/2014 12:40:33 AMI don't care, it's just a game. What I do care about is killing in a game when that's the point of it, and I try to stay alive as much as possible, but whether I die, win, lose, I just care about having fun with it, maybe playing with some friends, and killing as many enemy-characters as possible.
-
All about the K/D while trying to remember to win, lol.
-
I'm not a super competitive guy, but I do feel good when I have a higher win to loss ratio, however I am always happy with a high kill to death ratio, even with a low W/L because I know I have positively contributed to my team, though my team may not be the best
-
I don't really care, but I do like to win and get a bunch of kills. But hey it's about fun!

Edited by FenHarel: 8/31/2014 12:19:48 AMKD's a worthless score for me, I've seen MANY people just camp a spot during an objective based game mode with their sniper, killing maybe 5+ people the whole match, while avoiding dying the entire time, but ultimately not pushing or defending or doing a damned thing the entire match to help their team, ending up with a 5.0 KD. Meanwhile the dudes getting killed left and right are the ones "in the fire", and the ones actually doing something to obtain the goals, and defend them., So, if anything I'd go by a win/lose, if I REALLY gave a damn, but in reality, all of these scores are pointless. Personally I just play the game to play it, there are times I feel the need to really try, pulling off a 2.0/3.0, and times I feel like... I don't give a damn, just trying to have fun and probably do something stupid during a match, getting some crap ratio, but not even on days I try, do I try to camp and protect my KD like it's the most important thing in the world to me.
-
Winning if I'm playing with my bros, KD if I'm rolling solo.
-
It really depends on the type of Player you are and how you run your strategies the only time k/d truely matters is in team slayer and free for all objective base games should go by a point system
-
Don't care about it! That is more stats for PvP which I'll not be playing.
-
3 RepliesBottom Line: It's all about a win.K/D means nothing if you lost it was for nothing.
-
K/d could lead to an increase in W/l... But I prefer both.

Win/Loss

3 RepliesEdited by CorrosiveDrop4: 8/30/2014 11:24:37 PMIn objective games, you got to sacrifice yourself for the right points. Who gives a flying f*** if you go 3-20 when you Captured the flag/Salvaged the relic/armed the bomb etc. I hate people that are like: "But it will hurt my K/D" in an objective situation.

Edited by Inverted-Penguin: 8/30/2014 11:51:05 PMI couldn't give a toss, as long as your a human being, and not a Penguin, I don't care!

The two stats combined reveal something about a player. High W/L and high KD mean you have a good player. Low W/L and low KD mean you probably aren't very good/new to the game. A high W/L and low KD means you either play with good people all the time, or flat out get lucky with matchmaking. A low W/L and high KD means you are either a camper or you leave a lot of games early. Don't just look at one stat, you have to look at multiple to know how good someone is.
