Even if bungie balanced the matchmaking system, you’d still be faced with the meta — which isn’t often based around gun skill, team composition, or gun skill.
Games are won with cheese. Things that internally spike out through meta shifts, or unintentional power crept abilities.
Bungie definitely has some catching up to do
