Until you can balance teams and make matches fair....remove the penalty for quitting in 6s. Or better IDEA put it back to CBMM and remove SBMM.

Edited by Guardian, Archon Of Light: 10/22/2024 8:57:25 AM6s is globally accepted has party or quickplay casual mode , and should have no matchmaking filters and be able to come and go as you please, new players will get God's on there team as well Comp and Trials should have severe quitter penalties , im talking 7 days , with being able to appeal because of error codes or being DDOSED , hopefully a professional video game company in 2024 can tell if a button/key was pressed for 4 seconds or not

I mean the easy solution is just don’t quit

1 ReplyBad players hate SBMM. Get good kiddo
-
2 RepliesI like how people wanted this change. And now they hate it
Until you can balance teams and make matches fair....remove the penalty for quitting in 6s. Die respawn rinse and repeat have fun till it’s gone then play another PvP game. It’s a Fiesta game in which that’s a game mode in competent PvP games relax and enjoy then play another PvP game.

Edited by A_mo: 10/21/2024 6:12:00 PMDoes anyone ever wonder what would happen if people played one of these super focusin matches that turns out exactly like they say they want to but then they lose? Or if they played a lot of them back to back? They're going to end up having to really not think about anything but PvP during their preferred type of match for those matches to work out for them if they get their way. No matter who they are.
-
If they do that all the crybabies will just quit every game that isn't going their way.
-
2 RepliesThey should do the cbmm thing but the quit penalty should also stay. The matches can't be balanced or fair if everyone is allowed to quit out for whatever reason they come up with. Its probably helping and even when the game gets back to 20 million daily players it should stay.
-
-Wants balanced teams -Wants it put back to CBMM -Probably going to quit either way
-
7 RepliesWhy are you asking for "fair games" while also complaining about Quitter penalties and SBMM? SBMM and Lobby Balancing help to balance teams. Quitter penalties prevent players from unbalancing teams by quitting.
-
2 RepliesCBMM is why teams are unbalanced. SBMM puts you with players that make the game a more even match. You're asking to make things worse.
-
9 RepliesWhat are you on about? What SBMM? Do some research before you say something so ignorant.
remove SBMM
they should remove it if ppls quitting Comp bcs they have to play again as 3 solos vs 3 stack but they are just to dumb. I hope Sony kicks everyone out now and takes over completely. Bungie just cant do it.
-
Easy solution, quit pvp.
-
2 RepliesDont leave and you wont be penalized lol
-
Either don't play the mode if you don't like the penalty or quit leaving. If you keep playing and leaving, then deal with the consequences of leaving when you know full well that you will get suspended from playing.
Until you can balance teams and make matches fair....remove the penalty for quitting in 6s. Or better IDEA put it back to CBMM and remove SBMM.
Define cbmm & SBMM. I don’t think you know…

elitegtryin to work with whats left.. for now - 4/3/2026 12:46:30 PM
Part 1 > As long as the quitter penalty is enacted correctly as in certain number of quits in a certain time period (I think transparency on this would help.. like # of quits or time period remaining..etc) .. I mention this because sometimes 1 quit after many games can trigger it. Part 2 > If it works as intended part 1 then it is indeed good even in casual games. This is how I see it now. Part 3 > If there is ability spam, class out of whack, craftening bs or some other cracked weapon.. what I do and have done is leave and boycott the mode.. Bungie should make a statement and show us data and determining "balance". I feel balance right now it seems in a good place but obviously past has been sketchy to say the least. Part 4 > People, myself included, need to ask themselves if they are adapting their loadout.. specifically weapon choices enough or are sticklers to exact weapons and exact same choices/playstyle in games.. that is leading to "wanting to quit".. I have all my weapon slots ready to go to change out weapons if my choices were bad or dont work.. especially because I test weapons a lot.. and part of that is deleting the happy F.. out of bad shiht. Part 5 > Gotta try to enjoy it for what it is. Currently staying in there..I'm seeing the score swinging.. mercy happens around a 60 difference.. I'm seeing more good games.. dont worry about the score, stay alive, get objectives, learn.. enjoy. -
1 ReplyEven if did balance out the teams. What you are asking is facing the same 50% win chance at every hour of the day Meaning you would have to play the same lobby of meta wannabes for the next 24 hours And even if you did...you would still have quitters So no, keep it. Someone who can't stay in a fight is someone I don't want in my team regardless. I rather have someone go a 0.1 and cap zones in control than a quitter who cries that they got a quitter penalty because its the 20th match they left this week
-
2 RepliesI feel like regardless of matchmaking a casual game mode shouldn’t punish people for leaving or being disconnected. Sometimes you gotta drop things, that’s why you go into quickplay if you can’t commit but now that isn’t an option. Devs are deaf.
-
Seriously I'm tired of getting warned and banned cause I held y and got up outta there when it said match end ffs
-
There should never be a penalty for leaving quick play in a pve game…
-
10 RepliesAgreed. I don’t play PvP much anymore. But 6s should not be a places to be punished for wanting to leave the match.
