Think they just said after each completion the chances increase.

Yeah but it's slower than when u could just open world chests. Now they nerved them and it's taken more than twice as long as before to get drops
-
The nerf that they put in the patch notes for the world chests is just that it doesn't get an increasing chance to drop them after each. You can still open the world chest while doing overthrow to get 2 separate chest sources will doing one activity
-
I know. I open them all. I've done 4 two hour runs to get an average and it has been less then half than just opening the world chests would get me. I did this so I didn't jump the gun after doing 5 overthrows and getting nothing.
-
That's still only your average that you would have done, not the actual average for everyone. A luck based drop system like rng you have to have multiple different sources testing it to get an average, not just your own. Going off individual players' averages is always going to be different from other players. Some will always get them quicker than others and some will take longer than others.
-
I know , but I'm not the only one saying it. Rng is still math. After so many rolls of the dice it evens out.
-
Rng is not “math”. Sample sizes need to be exactly the same for it to be fairly read. Some players will get their drops at the start of their runs, others mid and still more players only at the end. Unless you get everyone to play the exact amount of runs and time, rng is just that, random.

Edited by Salty-47: 8/7/2024 5:13:12 AMFrom what I've seen about your post, it seems like all who have replied have said the opposite and that they have had it drop more often. Or at least understand that just because it may take longer for doesn't mean that for everyone.

I knew was off about it. Bungie confirmed that the buff not only didn't happen but that they weren't dropping at all from tier 4 overthrow now.
