It was nice to see Stasis finally get buffed. The doubled shatter damage was a great change. That said, there are still some things that feel bad.
Frost Armor is okay, but it needs better uptime. A longer timer would be nice. Making it decay like armor charges would be great.
Stasis is still held back by its lack of healing. I have no idea to this day why the Rime healing value was nerfed in PvE instead of just PvP, but the health we get back from stasis shard pickups isn’t enough to help with the fact that we need to sprint into the enemy lines to grab the shards we made. Boost that -blam!-, or make Conduction pull shards from way further, way faster.
Stasis builds are still uninteresting, because shard generation is still tied to aspects rather than being either an intrinsic part of the subclass (strand/tangles) or accessed through fragments (Solar/Firesprites). If I want access to that entire half of Stasis’ kit, I have to run one of the Harvest aspects.
Once again, I appreciate the attention you guys have given to something from a four year old expansion, but it’s definitely a band-aid fix.

I just want Behemoth to be honestly worth using again. [i]I don’t want it to return to its original state[/i], that was a nightmare, but I want to be able to use it without going negative in my k/d.

They only buffed it for the parts connected to prismatic. It was only disguised as a stasis buff.

Apart from literally a few standout options, stasis is dreadful.

stasis rework: make stasis all about cutting with new abilities and supers to fit that shatter/slow/freeze are things you have to build up to with building cold stacks interacting with stasis sources dealing and receiving damage you lose cold stacks over time and against solar sources solar and stasis buff each other when interacting friend or foe hunters get a foaming axe pick super with 6 picks and melee kills grant silence steps and delayed kill info titans get a massive ice sword that is slow but it also cuts space creating a pull effect warlocks get a glaive super its shield has massive range and slows targets close to it eventually freezing them

Add the 10 resilience you took away from Whisper of Shards, Hoarfrost-Z titans cant abuse this any more. While these are very minor & prob wont do much to move the needle these are nerfs they have carried out over the last year even though Bungie said they want to buff/improve the subclass. Not sure how much more a[b]s[/b]s-backward you can get, "We wish to give stasis a much needed shot in the arm" **proceeds to nerf it**

Other than that the charges decaying would be really cool, but it would definitely have to decay 2 at a time so you don't have like a full minute of a good chunk of DR. Healing to me feels fine with high recov and the orb mods on my legs. I wouldn't be opposed to adding a small chunk of health back to shards though. Shard gen and Frost armor (mostly) being tied to aspects is still a pain point for sure. The aspects need a unique ability aside from Frost armor and shards. I also think that shatter damage killing targets stopping you from activating on kill procs with your gun is frustrating as hell. If I shatter an enemy with my rampage gun and that shatter damage kills the enemy I'm shooting at, please just give me the rampage stack. Also we still need an armor mod for the arms that creates orbs on shatter kills stasis is the only subclass that requires a fragment over an armor mod to make orbs. And PLEASE GIVE US A SECOND SUPER AND MELEE OPTION AND MORE TRADITIONAL GRENADE OPTIONS.

Personally I think frost armor should be able to get to its max stacks without rime and its duration be at 10, just have rime further extend the timer. In the past frozen targets took increased damage from all sources, I think this should return to some degree and ffs undo the shards healing nerf for pve. As a side note ik warlock shadebinder is in a good place but wrathweavers needs a rework or some type of help

1 ReplyThe problem is that after Witch Queen every subclass got a huge buff in synergy except for stasis. Stasis was nerfed. Another huge problem is that stasis is a non-starter in pvp. If it works at all it's just oppressive because it doesn't just kill you like the other subclasses, it freezes you so that in a stasis heavy lobby you spend all your time just staring at the screen unable to play.
