After beating final shape I was feeling nostalgic and decided to delete one of my D1 characters and start over. I am up to the taken king now about halfway through the campaign and can’t help but notice that supers feel a lot better in D1. They recharge so much faster with the ward of dawn recharging at about 3 mins and 40 secs, this is helped even more when I’m playing with my cousin generating orbs with his hunter. In D2 the fastest super recharge is over 7 minutes it’s not even close why is there such a big difference in the recharge time? Additionally Zhalo Supercell is such a fun exotic and it’s criminal that it is not in D2, riskrunner while it it good it doesn’t feel anywhere near as good as supercell and I hope that since red death has returned even with crimson being in the game that they are able to bring supercell back too, bonus points if it’s the kinetic slot just like how it worked in D1. Honestly playing D1 today is such a fun experience and the only thing I really miss from D2 are the quality of life features like the director not being in D1. While D2 has things such as build crafting, more abilities, and some more flexibility with your builds in general D1 just feels better in some ways. I’d love to see some more things make a return from D1 and I’m really looking forward to finally beating aksis phase 2 for the first time whenever I finish rise of iron, I got stuck at phase 2, years ago and never went back to finish it.

I find the 30FPS not that good, it feels very slow compared to D2.

It’s like all the developers from D1 left and D2 tried to do their own thing. Even the story elements from D1 were largely abandoned like the Exo Stranger and time travel elements. D2 has always been a shadow of what it could have been I’d they had kept the same people on board.

This game has little resemblance to D1. This game isn’t a looter shooter it’s an ability spam survival game. Let that sink in and you may see why this game feels off

2 RepliesIt still boggles my mind how they made all those improvements to D1 in the final months of its life time and then proceeded to never take notes on it for D2. Like the strike remixes with siva/taken are the biggest WTFs. Daily/weekly legendary missions etc.

1 ReplyBetter look too

2 RepliesAlso to add on, the D1 year 1 music by Marty is still my favorite music by far, every time I boot up D1 and hear that main menu music I get emotional it’s just so good. It’s such a shame they will never work together again.

D1 was the better game for me. Lots of reasons for that, but I would boil it down to quality over quantity.

If the fps and five were fixed I'd go back rn

I still play D1 occasionally and I think it was the better game. Not as polished as D2 but 100% enjoyed my time more in D1.

2 RepliesAll they needed to do was add mantle and I’d be a happy camper.

Destiny 1 had shorter cooldowns, but a lot less ways to shorten your cooldown through gameplay.

30fps on a good day, no thanks

I wish I had a way to play D1. I've been feeling nostalgic about it too. Going to the moon in d2 is such a trip for me.

2 RepliesI hate to break it to you, but Red Death in D2 is just a pulse rifle. Some hidden cooldown on the healing on kills or something. Either way, not as good. Better off with other healing guns.
