Lame, so lame. I think this was the worst campaign that I've played. It was just sooo boring, predictable, and pointless. Why Bungie, why?
Also, I didn't like putting Raid mechanics into the campaign. WHY ALL THE RECYCLED CONTENT?
BTW, I currently find Prismatic underwhelming and don't like the idea of having to "transcend". I think making that a requirement to get through the campaign was stupid.

4 RepliesAside from the cool story, The Witness and all, it is all recycled content. But people differ, everyone has their own opinion which is fine, personally I don’t give a -blam!- about Prismatic, and would’ve loved a third darkness subclass. Which would’ve required them to develop an entire story about how that subclass originated. Now , in my opinion, they just slapped some old -blam!- together and present it as new. Who cares about Prismatic, I certainly do not. And they force it down our throats by introducing enemy types with prismatic shields Yes, I know you can get the Transcendence buff by standing in the pool and pressing B. Honestly I don’t give a -blam!-. As if a car manufacturer makes a new model comprised of all kinds of old model parts. Yeah , whatever.

I respect your opinion, but for me it's one of the best campaigns ever! ❤

5 RepliesImagine we got a third darkness subclass. I was so disappointed when I heard what Prismatic is. Sure, it’ll be good and meta, it’s just lazy design and re-using. The story and visuals are epic. The guns bland and boring.
-
Im just going to go to every negative post abt final shape and -blam!- on it
-
Raid mechanics were added so non raid players can get a basic understanding if they wanted to do the raid.
-
1 ReplyTFS story is in my top three campaigns since D1 launched.

At first i thought this was bad bait. Then i saw you don’t really do end-game content, so it’s a really low room temp take. As much as you complain yet still play, maybe it’s time to break up with your game & move on to something you do like.

4 RepliesEdited by SKYROC-2: 6/8/2024 12:09:14 AMI just came to read the feedback, which doesn't seem too great. I wonder how much worse it'll get after the 1 month honeymoon phase. After the constant nerfs, and stripping exotics from their core identity such as Synthoceps.. I gave up on this franchise. If they fail, I'd say..they deserved it, and did this to them selves.

1 ReplyI see what you're saying but then if you've been around since the beginning, you remember what d1 was with next to no mechanics every dlc, just bullet sponge. And d2 with Gaul all the way up to forsaken was a joke. Does it have room for more innovation? Sure. But it's better than it ever was and they've come a long way. The question you should ask is do you feel like you'll get your money's worth vs time spent?

I didn't like it, but I thought it was better than Lightfall. I'm talking about the writing. Mechanically, I don't like the prismatic shields. Otherwise I like the gameplay a lot

-
1 ReplyYet you’re playing right now. So yeah… There’s that.
-
5 RepliesI don't think people understand that it isn't raid mechanics. They are regular basic mechanics.
-
1 ReplyStrong disagree. With the mechanics part, I mean. The story wasn't great. A lot of it was just red war 2.0 (looking at you, find ikora and zavala and reunite their team objectives). But adding the mechanics made it feel way more enjoyable. It's sure better than just stand and defend a plate and shoot

It gets better towards the end, and so does Prismatic once you start doing the endgame quests.

Agree to a certain point. I'm enjoying the story. Missions are challenging but not impossible.. gameplay is just boring.. "new" mechanics really aren't new.. and some of the bloody checkpoints are in terrible places. There's been a fair few times I've turned the game off because dying has put me back to a place I can't be bothered to go through again straight away. Just boring. Honestly, I'm only playing to see the story pan out now
-
5 RepliesI enjoyed the last 3rd of the story missions. A lot actually.
-
As disappointing as it was I at least found it better than lightfall when it comes to quite literally everything.
-
I loved the story especially the post raid campaign mission. Greatest ending to a game's saga.
-
I’ve loved it so far and I REALLLY love having actual mechanics in the legend campaign gives it difficulty and makes it feel less brainless,I really loved figuring the mechanics and getting some good loot. I really loved the story too, didn’t feel cliché if you ask me.
-
Lolwat? The story was great, we ain't done yet either
-
I like the raid mechanics though although I got frustrated at times. I’m at the witness and quit after dying a few times. To be fair it was getting late and I was already tired. Getting sleep is more important than beating the game.

Edited by Magiscene: 6/8/2024 11:29:09 AMYeah doing vow, gos, Ron, and vog mechanics in the campaign was stupid, I was hoping for something new but whatever only thing that matters from this dlc is prismatic and the weapons anyway. (Spoiler alert) My whole gripe with the campaign was it was basically just the reverse of the first few missions to the d1 campaign (tower - cosmodrome). The story was interesting but I wasn’t really interested in seeing the other characters past (we already saw that stuff in past seasons and dlc (forsaken and haunt for example), as I wanted it solely focused on us and the witness personally. You know give me a reason to want to hate him, show me why he’s a bad guy, we got some of that but I still feel disconnected from him honestly. Plus the boss mission I was hoping the witness had more attacks. I know I’m in the minority here as all I see is people praising the difficulty and challenge in this expansion but i feel like using familiar mechanics took away from the challenge by making the gameplay predictable. For example I saw the aegis shield and I instantly knew I had to break a boss shield. I feel like newer stuff would have definitely given a better challenge. Idk just my two cents on it.

14 RepliesI can’t stand the raid mechanics, find the boss fights to be long and drawn out and extremely tedious. The story’s fine. I don’t really see the point in the new class. It looks like they ran out of ideas
