why are people not using Precious Scars?
i just read through the stuff certain exotics do and holy moly
60 hp just for using a weapon matching your subclass?? i wish there was a exotic like this for the other classes because that sounds strong as hell
all i see are peacekeepers and the wards when this thing exists and it doesnt make sense to me
why do so few people use it?

If you're on a fire team it's pretty legit, but trying to play support solo queue is more of a pain than it needs to be. If that's the case, you're just healing yourself, which weapons like Crimson do better.

It’s just not as good as other exotics. Only time I ever used that exotic was in comp/trials, when I died I’d swap to it but I dismantled it after the exotic swap penalty was added.

Because everyone is different and have different play styles. Everyone should use what they like not because someone says "it's good". You might like using it but others might hate it One of the reasons I hate "meta" posts.

The enemy 6 stack would have one player kill themselves so their teammate could revive them and then push all together with their overshields.

Because it's a support exotic, and people generally only care about damage, buffs, or debuffs I found that it paired really well with Tommy's matchbook, as this gave you both damage and healing. Also works great with ruinous effigy since the orbs count as weapons kills. Probably works well with Trinity Ghoul or graviton as well.

My guess would be that most people think it’s far too ugly and the hit to fashion outweighs the hit to health.

some of us cbf to do lost sectors and xur never sells older exotics for some -blam!- reason, even though it would be so easy to let him sell ones from 2 seasons ago.

1 ReplyBecause it's a flat 60 HP on kill, not starting recovery or health regen. It can't over-heal or sheild you so it doesn't change the TTK on anything. All it really does is prevent you from being cleaned up if you win a close gunfight, which isn't nothing, but it's not as useful throughout an entire game as what you mentioned and a few others in most peoples opinions. The game isn't crazy deep. Nobody is stumbling on years old exotics that people just don't know about. If people aren't using something in favor of other things, there's a reason.

You can pick up and orb and get practically the same result therefore its redundant.

I do, I actually have a dedicated loadout spot for it. It really shines on void, imo... and synergizes amazingly with Vexcalibur. Great on Arc too.
