Aside from excessive grind and lack of love for PvP, this was the other main reason why I quit Destiny 2 three months ago and cancelled my Lightfall pre-order.
Loreley gets three nerfs within six months of its release (two indirect, one direct), meanwhile Omnioculus is allowed to roam freely for five months before it gets its first nerf.
Cannon Brace gets insta-nuked, meanwhile Gyrfalcon is allowed to terrorise PvP for months before it gets reworked (not obliterated like Brace).
Touch of Thunder Storm Grenades get nerfed multiple times within the same season they launch, meanwhile Invis is barely touched for four straight seasons.
Titans get Barricade and Citan's nerfed, when only nerf to Barricade was necessary, just because Hunters couldn't deal with AE changes (Citan's was fair and balanced, now it is unusable).
Titans resort to the only good PvE Exotic they had left prior to this season launch and the subject of this thread, HOIL, and that gets nerfed to the ground as well.
Initial reports seem to suggest the new Titan Exotic from this season, Abeyant Leap, is good. It might well be but rest assured, not for long.
Needless to say, I won't be returning to this game but I encourage fellow Titans who are still playing to be more vocal then the Hunter majority is and demand better from Bungie.

All I hear is “waaaah nerf hunters” but the truth is titans have been braindead OP during the last season. Come on, you knew, it was going to happen.
-
Not once did I say "nerf Hunters". What I will say is Hunters are given preferential treatment, as I have pointed out with examples.

AE nerf, Stompees nerf, invis nerf, Powerful friends nerf, only class heavily relying on mobility… tell me about preferential treatment.

Edited by Cervantes: 3/2/2023 8:08:28 AMI just did in my OP. As for the AE nerf, it affected everyone and it affected Warlocks the most. StompEE5 were extremely broken and were by far the most used Exotic by Hunters. By comparison, Dunemarchers had been nerfed hard way earlier than StompEE5. Invis was barely touched for 3-4 seasons straight. I remember playing a Trials card in Season of the Lost, facing 0 Titans and 75 % Invis Hunters. It continued like that for 3-4 seasons. It made GMs like Lightblade a walk in the park. Omnis weren't touched for 5 months. Gyrfalcon's were reworked, not nerfed to the ground like Cannon Brace and are now better than ever in PvE. I will agree on the Powerful Friends change: No one likes it. Will also agree making Mobility so important for Hunters is annoying for build-crafting.
