Not sure if anyone take care of all this here, but - its nice Arbalest and Lorenz Driver are nerfed in PvP, but the Cat for LD is such a big bs!
50 Player Kills, why?
Is this a cheap way to get Players occupied? Then do it in PvE.
Why PvE Players are forced to play something they do not like if they want to get things done?
Same with the Triumphs. I do not want to Play Osiris or PvP at all with no Dedicated Servers and all the bs thats going on in PvP! But if i want to get the Triumphs done, i am forced to play stupid Modes just to keep them "populated"?
That is not funny, its a Pain!
If Players wants to play PvP, its ok. But stop forcing them into it!

I agree with OP 100% Ignoring the fact that Crucible is a crap experience with almost no updates since inception, I don’t see why there can’t be multiple pathways to earn catalysts. Instead of: 100 Gambit / Crucible / Vanguard Activities 50 Player Kills 100 PVE Kills There should be options for people like prefer different game modes. Like x Gambit WINS or x Crucible WINS or x Vanguard / Nightfall Completions or x Guardian Kills or x PVE Kills I don’t know the exact figures, but you get the idea. Different people like different game modes, and I would argue that even PVP mains would prefer to be able to finish their catalysts by just playing PVP. I agree it should be a challenge to obtain the best items in game, but “forcing” engagement into every game mode is a lazy implementation that either makes the player miss out, or power through and have a poor experience. Surely there is a better way

2 RepliesYou don't play all of the game, you don't get all the rewards. End of discussion

Stop forcing players into PVE!!!

1 ReplyMORE TIME WITH ME IS NEVER A BAD THING!

You don't need to overreact. You aren't forced to do anything. You're not entitled to all the rewards if you don't play sections of the game.

5 RepliesIf someone is forcing you into something, you should probably call the authorities.

I don’t mind pvp but some of their quests are a bit much. When I complete them I don’t really feel like playing pvp for a long time after. Good going bungie! Now I know I understand that in order to complete things it should be player time invested but like anything there’s a line between healthy grind and too much. And destiny crosses that line. Whenever I complete a quest or triumph I don’t feel happy to the point where I want to keep playing. Instead there’s a burnout that’s pretty bad. Iron lord triumph you need 2 resets. Why 2? I personally think 1 is enough however if it’s not in a single season like that redrix broadsword quest that’s much better. There was no reason to have 5 resets in a single season for that weapon. They could have made it to where it was 5 resets regardless if it was in the same season and it would have taken the same amount of time, for those people that had the time to grind. And for the people that had little time they would have gotten it eventually. I was so burnt out from destiny I couldn’t pick it back up for a long time. Hell I didn’t feel like playing any shooters. No COD or battlefield. I feel like I’m facing a bit of a burnout right now after last weeks IB. I didn’t even get iron lord and I just can’t play pvp. This is my problem with destiny. The grinds are so ridiculous by the time you get the stuff you want you don’t even want to play anymore LOL. You’re more happy that the grind is over. There is too much grind.

6 RepliesIf PvP players want a weapon and it is locked PvE, I’m going to run it. I don’t have to but I will. Why should PvE players have a choice when PvP players don’t?

PvP triumphs require playing PvP, imagine that.

1 ReplyWhen you are old enough to actually understand what “forcing you to do something” means then maybe come back and post again…

2 RepliesStop forcing players into PVE!

3 RepliesThose unwilling to embrace 100% of the game do not deserve 100% of the rewards. That said, you aren't forced in any regard.

Edited by Duke: 11/22/2022 8:26:49 PMBecause pvp players are "forced" to go kill dregs to get loot too so.....

You’re not being forced to do anything

Edited by Knight: 11/22/2022 4:09:26 AMFew weeks ago, I hated PvP as well but I'm forced to. I get 2 player kills per iron banner match and I cried in tears and now I get like 20 player kills and I'm love pvp because of a secret weapon (i dont want you to copy my weapon). I sometimes receive awesome gear and general mods like mobility mod from iron banner matches.

I have only done 1 catalyst that required pvp (witherhoard) and that took me nearly 2 years to complete. None of the others are worth completing.
-
Momentum is the best place for that. Body shots will one hit kill and precision shots in groups will get you multi kills. I'm as bad as you can be in pvp but I got it done there. Even Ticcu's also.
-
You're not being forced. You can choose not to do it and give up the catalyst. Bungie isn't holding you hostage and telling you to play pvp
-
Theyve been trying to get people the whole game for 8 years, maybe start expecting it now? Remember invective and thorn in D1? Bungie wants people to play the whole game to maximize their money. With that history, maybe find a game with no pvp?
-
I forgot bungie uses mind control to make you click on the pvp playlists

3 RepliesIron Banner is great for catalyst progression, I did several this week incl Trespasser, Suros Regime (300 kills! wtf!) and made a start on Vigilance Wing. Sometimes it looks daunting but the reality is not so bad, just get yourself a cup of tea or a pint ready and then crack on. Suros is my new favourite weapon btw, after all these years, who would have thought it? Good luck to ya.

2 RepliesNot forced, either suck it up and do it or dont do it
-
Nobody is forcing you. If you want everything in the game, you have to play all of the content

3 RepliesYou're not forced into PVP. None of the things you've listed will restrict your progress in PVE...
