Buy 30th anniversary pack, or else no Gjallarhorn.
Buy witch Queen DELUXE or else no Exotic SMG
When people bought the standard Beyond Light expansion, at least it gave the No Time To Explain, and the deluxe had some skins.
What happened to Bungie’s statement years ago: Destiny will NEVER be pay to win. But now people have to pay to get Gjallarhorn and that new SMG. You no pay, you no get.
And from what I see, the Gjallarhorn is pretty good, so that SMG will be also something special, seeing it’s only in a Deluxe Pack.
Listen: IT’S NOT ABOUT THE MONEY! It more of a principal that Bungie made a promise that these things wouldn’t happen. And now people are STILL beeing forced to pay to get things like exotics.
That SMG should just like always be available for everyone, even the ones who buy the standard edition. And putting THE rocketlauncher behind a 25 bucks paywall is just very smart marketing because everyone wants the Ghorn, so it’s easy money. BUT a scummy move IMO looking at all those pretty promises.
I’m on the other hand still dubbing whether to buy said expansion and party pack. I don’t like beeing forced to pay more for and exotic and dungeons and stuff. I like to see season by season how and what it develops because Bungie has dropped the ball more often than once, so i buy what I like and when I like it. But taking away the basic things like the Exotic and putting the best RL behind a paywall, while they always maintained the “no pay to win” attitude just doesn’t feel right.
But things like that had to come sometimes i guess. Promising something, and years later simply doing it still. Too bad.
Edit: Pay to win was more in the meaning of more stuff like exotics behind paywalls. My excuses for not beeing native English language.
