The IRON CONFIDENCE bounty is a nightmare.
It is either broken, or requires a million kills.

Edited by Lull9: 11/9/2021 11:49:24 PMIf you have a really good game with lots of energy/heavy kills you can get 15%-20% progress from one match. And this is coming from someone who was 1330 every single match. (Not getting any bonus for higher level opponents)

Get kills with energy weapons to earn bonus progress The nice thing about this bounty is its options. You can earn bonus progress by using an Energy weapon, a Power weapon, or killing someone who is a higher power level than you. But how much extra progress do you get for each? Here is a quick breakdown of the bounty progression. 1• Three kills with a Kinetic weapon = 1 percent of progress 2• Two kills with an Energy weapon = 1 percent of progress 3• One kill with a Power weapon = 1 percent of progress 4• Killing someone who has a higher power level than you = 1 percent of progress This last progression bonus (•4) is the real interesting one since it stacks on the rest of the kills. It won't be obvious when you kill someone who has a higher Power level than you, but if you check the progress on the bounty, you may see it go up already before you got enough kills with a weapon. For example, killing someone with an Energy weapon with a higher power level than you counts both the kill and the bonus of the enemy's power advantage. That's one percent. Then, getting one more Energy weapon kill would add another one percent to the bounty progress, making a total of two percent added progress. Grab an energy shotgun/fusion/pulse/auto Drop your power level by 10/15 & go killing

A lot of other people are also doing this so go low. Equip xurs ingredient or null composure (this will still ohk 1330 guardians at decent range and not let anyone steal your kills) Equip a garbage short range primary so you can’t clean up your own kills. Empowering rift helps range. Even if you only get 7-8 kills you are still putting at least 5% per game on the bounty.

Agree. The other 3 were done and this one was only at 60%. Took a lot longer, even had to switch to Main Ingredient to try and speed things up.

I didn’t find it that bad. By the time I finished the other three I was 75% done with this one. The trick for me was maining and energy weapon, using it as my primary. I used my favorite contingency plan and it took about 100 kills just with that weapon alone, and I know I got some with a kinetic and heavy. But using an energy primary definitely made progress go pretty steadily.

Edited by MightyJandal: 11/8/2021 8:42:06 PMUse a low level shotgun and ape for one two punch kills. Cleans up that bounty real fast as you get bonus progress for killing higher level players. I always try to keep a shotty in the vault around 1290-1300 range specifically for IB. You might even try pulling one from collections or the gunsmith for 1304 drop. Alternatively, pull Wavesplitter from your collections and use that at a lower power level.

I did all of my IB bounties on all three of my characters. I must’ve missed something, because they were all pretty easy.

You have a whole week to do four bounties. Iron confidence requires 250 kills, I do all four on three characters in 2 days and could’ve done it in one.
