My logic is around individual, physical difficulty.
The primary difficulty of raids is that they require understanding the mechanics and making callouts so that you keep all six people coordinated. DSC is not a difficult raid to do that, and the actual fights are not that difficult from a gameplay standpoint when you are at level.
The fact is that getting your way to that first chest AS A SOLO PLAYER, is more difficult that the raid itself. I died a total of three times to enemies in my first TWO runs of that raid.
Let’s just say I died a lot more than that while I was figuring out how to solo my way to that first chest.
So I am talking about something I have direct experience with.

Ok but then that would just be you. You can look up guides on the best route to the chest, you didn’t have to learn it your self. Atrax (2nd encounter) took people HOURS to learn and figure out, they didn’t know the way or anything when they 1st did it. Same goes for people just learning the raid. All you are doing is learning a path, killing some ads, and grabbing a chest.
-
And the same is true for raids in terms of reducing its difficulty. You keep refusing to make apples-to-apples comparisons here.
-
Ok so let’s say we went with that...reducing difficulty in raids to allow solo players to do them...guess what? That would destroy the entire purpose of raids. They are meant to be the hardest pve activity. They can’t make it easy for solos without making it absolutely nothing for people who actually enjoy them. Why not try dungeons? That’s basically what they are. They are shorter easier raids with less mechanics. The entire purpose of them were for solo players to do hard activities. Making the whole game super easy and catering to solos in a fully online multiplayer game isn’t the way to go.

You’re gatekeeping. This is about getting currency for a raid exotic whose raid has been vaulted. No one is handing out raid loot for free here.
-
It’s really not. Gatekeeping is making it so place CAN NOT get these items. You have the full ability to get them but choose not to. It’s Bungies fault you decided you didn’t want to play coop in a fully online multiplayer game? Let me ask you, why can’t you play with others? Is it because you have anxiety? Trust me I know how that is. I literally played solo from d1 up until season of the dawn. I didn’t play raids because I was worried that I would mess up and they would get mad and kick me. One day I met some guys doing escalation protocol and they asked if I wanted to do a raid. I told them I never had done one and barely new what to do. That said it was alright and took me through last wish. I did mess up a few times, but these guys were chill and even though it took us like 3 and a half hours we did it. That was the most fun I ever had and to this day I still play with these guys. Like I said earlier we go around and teach and help people learn raids. I see people here say they don’t raid because LFG is super toxic. While I’ll admit there are some toxic people there are also just as many people willing to teach you and help.
-
You’re. Gatekeeping. I’m not sitting here saying that people should get DSC loot without running that raid. This is a stupid CURRENCY GRIND for a two year old raid exotic. Seriously people. This would be laughable if all this pushback were so sad.
-
And your being spoiled Just because the raid is gone doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have to work for it. Many of these players did more runs of the raid to get anarchy than you did to just get spoils. That’s fair?
-
Edited by TheArtist: 5/14/2021 7:40:00 PMI’m not anything. I’ve done every raid this franchise has ever made. I just don’t care to grind these raids because I don’t like them. What I don’t care for is Bungie changing the rules in the middle of the game, nor the transparent gatekeeping around a two-year old raid exotic. Anarchy was the exotic for Scourge of the Past, which came out during Forsaken. But muh grind...... That raid is no longer in the game. All that is required to get this two year old weapon is a currency grind, that Bungie changed the rules on in the middle of the game. Which was a shitty thing to do.

1. If you don’t care to grind then why are you grinding for it? Why are you playing the game? That’s kinda like a 3rd of the game. 2. So you are saying that just because you refused to play how many others did you deserve it more? Ok sure buddy
-
Didn’t listen to a word I said, did you? Typical...
-
Ah yes the typical response. You don’t have anything to come back with so you just act like you were right. 👍
-
No. Everything you raised has already been answered. You just didn’t bother to read it. So I don’t see the point of repeating it and having you ignore it a second time.
-
Not really...I asked why you say you don’t grind things yet this entire thing has been about you grinding spoils. You never answered that. Also I could point out numerous things you have ignored as well if you want to go there.
