Merry Christmas! And in the spirit of the winter they should Make a mission on Europa to get a new catalyst that makes the weapon slow targets if you hold it on them long enough.
That is all

Why would a weapon that has literally nothing to do with stasis/ice/darkness/whatever suddenly become a stasis weapon?
-
Just make a new gun?
-
2 RepliesFor christ sake is this really still a thing? ITS A ARC WEAPON. it uses liquid cooling to cool down the weapon Its not stasis. It will never be stasis. Stasis isn't ice, its the darkness. Use your brain. Please. For the sake of humanity

Edited by Oddball: 12/26/2020 10:49:55 PMColdheart fires a supercooled beam of arc energy. I'd rather have a new stasis trace rifle with stasis based perks. Make it freeze stuff or something.
-
No. It's not a Stasis weapon. It does not use Stasis energy. It is a nuclear-powered weapon. It fires a cold fusion-powered laser. Therefore, it's classified as an Arc weapon. It will never be a Stasis weapon.

6 Repliessorry, this has to be the 100th post I've seen on this, but Coldheart does not shoot cold. What Coldheart does is shoot an ionized beam so hot it needs a coolant kept a sub-zero temperatures to not overheat. Omolon is resourceful and has the weapon fire the liquid coolant as well as cool the weapon with it. I wouldn't mind a stasis trace rifle, just Coldheart is not it

Honestly, ruinous effigy should be stasis. Since, you know, comes directly from the darkness. We should upgrade it to "perfect effigy" and give it stasis, and change a little of how it works.
-
4 RepliesNo, it just needs a buff. All trace rifles need a damage buff, ever since shadowkeep they feel like they are shooting out spaghetti. It was data mined we are getting a stasis exotic trace rifle at some point so no need to change cold heart to stasis. This is a dumb and pointless idea and I'm sick of seeing people making posts about this on these forums. Knock it off, shut up, it's not gunna happen.

Edited by --KNIGHT--: 12/26/2020 11:46:56 AMNah. Contradicts the lore of the gun. I'd rather have bungie make a gun called Hot Soul and it be a stasis trace rifle with a molten core to prevent it from freezing up
-
I love Coldheart! I use it quite a lot and would be sad to see it changed. I’d rather we got a new trace rifle that is stasis themed. Plus the actual origins and mechanisms of the Coldheart would render a stasis change rather odd.
-
I’d rather have it freeze then shatter targets as you laser them, but changing the element would go against the weapon’s lore so, no. Wait until next season when they inevitably intro a new Stasis trace rifle.

5 RepliesEdited by PhantomBrown: 12/26/2020 5:18:51 AMLore nerds are pissed again. They'd rather the weapon be useless than change the lore. It's so sad, they don't even use it yet feel so strongly about it. 😂
-
It’s not a stasis weapon. Stasis isn’t ice, it’s crystalline.
-
Why not just ask for a stasis trace rifle? Something that looks like it was made from stasis crystals
-
3 RepliesWould absolutely make sense

Coldheart is an Arc weapon. It creates an Arc beam by means of supercooled plasma or something. It’s not a Stasis weapon.
-
A Coldheart meta in Crucible??? Yeah, let's not 😂

I don't think it should be a Stasis weapon. I used to but after I read the lore and really thought about it I don't think it should be. Why? It's an arc trace rifle that uses coolant as fuel for the beam. It's an arc gun that has cooling effects. I do agree that it should have some kind of slow effect but it should not be changed to the Stasis element whatsoever. There is a good chance I misunderstood what you were saying. And there is no need for a new catalyst. Just rework it. Catalysts shouldn't be used to rework or buff exotics if they suck.

If it just slowed enemies...
