My Randy’s throwing knife

My sacred providence with rapid hit/kill clip. Thankfully I can use it for endgame until pinnacle cap gets raised to 1360.

Breakneck. Great auto rifle. Loaded Question. Best fusion.

My masterworked Nameless Midnight, it’s the year 1 roll and has stuck with me since curse of Osiris :( Better believe I’ll still use that thing occasionally while patrolling, just to have some fun with it and keep the rust off but I’m gonna miss it big time. I’m just glad chattering bone will last for a while, it’s been my new favorite

None. I always try and swap out for new season weapons as soon as I get good rolls.

It's kind of funny. I've basically quit the game-I'm here to get a sense of what's coming next week for old time's sake-but I can still look back over Destiny 2 to date and think about all my favorite guns and it's interesting. I've changed my loadout every major update, so sunsetting means less to me than others. Unlike D1, where the question of what my primary was ended when I got the OG Hung Jury, my weapons have changed near constantly. So sunsetting isn't quite the big deal that it is to others, but if I had to pick one, my Outlaw/Rampage Go Figure would be it, with the pre-nerf Escalation Protocol shotgun a close second. Otherwise, in all honesty, since I never got a lot of the meta guns in D2, if I was playing I could live with sunsetting. I still think their logic for doing it was wrong as hell, mind.

1 ReplyNone, because we will most likely get 90% of them back with the same perks.

1 ReplyMy answer is the year 2 Service Revolver. One has always been in my inventory. Always leveled, and always ready. You know, just in case. It’s story time. I really started getting seriously into Destiny 2 around the time of Season of the Drifter. I heard how crapy Black Armory was, so I passed on buying the Annual Pass. However since at the time I like Gambit, I was interested in Gambit Prime. Being a fan of how handcannons worked, I was looking for a more traditional one, rather than the Crimson I’ve been using, and admittedly still use. A check in on Zavala lead me to see the new Service Revolver, but you had to complete 40 strikes to get access to it. The first week I spent grinding strikes for it. 40 was quite a bit for me, as I wasn’t super experienced in the intense Destiny grind yet. When I finally got it after around 5 days of grinding, I went to the EDZ to test it, and firing it for the first time was great. It had the similar firing animation to Crimson, which was the vertical kick, the sound of Better Devils, and decent range. Next day I got in a fireteam with a friend, and his reaction was great. He was impressed and surprised, and honestly it felt good because he was much more experienced in D2 than me, and getting it so soon, and his reaction made me feel good. Since then I’ve gone through about 3, currently being on my fourth. First one I dismantled after getting a much better one, then accidentally dismantled the god rolled second one, had a mediocre third one that was replaced by my current near identical to the second one. I’ve usually opted for Crimson, Thorn, or The Last Word in my kinetic slot, so I never got an insane amount of kills on it. In fact I’ve used Trust more. But the value of the Service Revolver is not in terms of damage or kill count, it’s the memory of working to achieve my first big achievement in Destiny 2. I’m not in touch with that friend anymore, so that adds to it. It holds little value, and the achievement is nothing compared to anyone else, but to me, it’s the best gun I have. It’ll be in my vault as Beyond Light comes out, as a personal trophy. I know I’ll probably never use it, especially since it can’t be infused come the 10th, but I’ll keep it, just in case.

12 RepliesI'm not gonna miss anything. I'm keeping my favorite gear, both armor and weapons. I was just playing last night with 750 level armor I like along with my 750 Austringer. Anything I need for light level enabled activities I'll easily acquire as I play. The world is not ending guys. You'll be fine.
