I love how its always "the selfish community" at fault because guys cant just ignore others posts, and type out their own lfg post lol.
So somebody wants 20 clears? Or kwtd? So what, ignore it, create your own post, ask for 5 total begginers and all go in blind, have fun, learn together and maybe even form into a clan or a regular group? But nope... easier to blame others.
This is what people who raid regularly do. We dont sit around saying "well, i guess i just cant raid because tryhardxx69's raid post said i need 20 clears and a phd" No, we think f that guy, ill just make my own team. Lfg is accesible by everyone, not just experienced raiders.
But the sad fact is, people who dont want to teach themselves, are also looking for other raiders who know what to do. Theyre literaly looking for a well oiled team who knows the raid to walk them through it with minimal hassle.
NEWSFLASH! Thats what we all want. So when i, a guy who teaches himself and learns with a team i either joined or put together myself, and i want a kwtd team to play with, who also knows how to plow easily through the raid, why am i different from a guy whos also looking for a kwtd team, so they can make it easy for me? If i put 20+ hours in day 1, or week 1, forming a team, learning the mechanics together, doing the research on strats, why do i then owe someone a shortcut to all of that? Go do what i did. Or if you dont want to do that work, fair enough, to each their own. But dont then sit there blaming me for your own lack of initiative. Ill sherpa, i can and i do. But its on my terms. We dont owe you guys anything. Youre just as capable of using lfg as us regular raiders, except you just want the easy way out. Whereas we take the hard route. And you get out what you put in. The guys who take initiative form groups, and become regular raiders. And the guys who just want carrying, sit out all year wondering why they arent raiding, when the reality is, its because they dont want to go through that first phase of teaching themselves, and it being hard and having to learn with other begginers. You want the fast track, and nobody owes you that.
Its double standards.

4 RepliesOr they just want to do a raid and don’t care about requirements. The only requirements are are you high enough light. Simple
-
1 ReplyThose people complaing dont want to form a group and learn. They just want to be carried.
-
15 RepliesI dont mind learning raids. Crown and Garden took hours of learning. The feeling when you finish it is something. People with requirements just want the raid to go well. They spent the time learning and getting efficient at it. The people crying about no one helping are the issue unto themselves. Its not a seasoned raiders job to help you nor is it their responsibility for your bad outlook. I've seen people advocate for matchmade raids. No. Just no. Raids are the trials of PvE. Matchmaking would be a disaster. But on the thought of Bungie stupidly doing it. Give them an easy mode only with lackluster rewards. You wanna do the norm or higher then put a team together.

Yeah you guys owe me a lot but okay

If I want to do a quick run then I'll say KWTD especially just now. But of if ui got the time I'll help out 1 or possibly 2 people that haven't got a clear BUT there's no way in hell I'm helping out 3 people 😂. If I join a raid or host one and they say I "KWTD" and screws up like 2 times i check there raid report and if they lied to me I either flip out and leave or kick them because I ain't carrying a lier
-
Listen I only say Kwtd to because I don’t want to have to explain/waste my time on telling you what to do especially if I’m in rush but I do understand on the raid clears as long as you know what your doing then I’m fine with whoever.

3 RepliesOnly got to the second sentence structure. Want to know why. Because that’s where your logic falls apart. As much as you or anyone else can have the patience to try and have fun. That doesn’t mean those you find will. Most likely among the 6 or maybe 7 retry on the same part they’d report bound to rage quit forcing that group to find a 6th person or multiple people will rage quit or say they have to go as a polite way of saying I’m tired of dealing with this. You want to know how I know because it’s happen to me. There is no such thing as fun for destiny. If there was most of not all the abilities and weapons would not be shit and can’t get anything done without having a o have a certain set up for each encounter as the best way to get the maximum amount of dps on the boss or what have you. If the game was fun. The game would not have fallen the same bullshit from destiny 1 where we are basically playing destiny 1 all over again.

2 RepliesIf someone wants to learn and listen I don't see a problem. Stop being toxic.

1 ReplyThe real question is, why do they even care? Bungie has said all exotics tied to vaulted content will be available elsewhere. So just wait until they vault the raids and Bungie will probably drop them into the exotic cypher pool because they are lazy as hell.
-
6 RepliesHow about just shut up and learn actual real world skills before gatekeeping a purposefully convoluted game mechanic. Why not blame Bungie for creating raids that take entire days to do and learn instead of shitting on the players who are also trying out the raid using their own methods. Honestly the shit nerds say to justify their lack of social skills is hilarious.

3 RepliesEdited by iMisai: 7/26/2020 10:10:40 PMI mean literally today I finally stopped putting off gos and divinity and got my first clear and it at the same time. I even had the most dps on the boss when we wiped once. So no, having 6000 clears does not make a person good at anything

7 RepliesRaids in this game are really stupid anyways which is why only like 5-10% of the player base bother doing them. I think all activities should have matchmaking but even if raids had it I probably wouldn't do them. It's just a waste of time. Even with a fully mastered team with all the right weapons working in perfect harmony the easiest fastest raids still take about 15 minutes. The longer more complex ones take about 35 minutes at best. Double or triple those times when you have new players that have only done them a few times or who don't have good weapons. That's not even including the time you sit waiting in orbit waiting for you fireteam to all get togeather which often times takes another 10-30 minutes. Fvck all that hassle, waaaay to much trouble for a tiny chance at some average weapons or some cosmetics.

Unpopular, but true. KWTD can be a broad statement. If I want a well oiled raider/raid, I'll ask/look for clears. If all I say is KWTD it just means you at least know where to find the backpack whilst me and my buddies cart you through. Any more experience is just a bonus at that point 😂

8 RepliesIt's the age of entitlement and participation trophys. What did you expect to see?

Edited by xbroggiex: 7/25/2020 8:28:04 PMPeople complain about mechanics being convoluted as an excuse... but you know what? You also need working thumbs and a brain to actually not die. Most of people crying about LFG reqs are the ones that are absolute potatoes when it comes to playing the game. Although I will agree some raid requirements are a bit much but you can just make your own group. For a quick clear I'd only ask for at least 5 clears. for Flawless maybe 10-15 minimum.
-
1 ReplyI don’t mind the requirements in lfg and have no problems with it. What I do have a problem with though, are the absurd ones. Why are you making it a requirement to have 10+ clears of a raid that hasn’t even been here for a week? Why are you demanding the maximum light level of 1060+ for a raid that’s only 750?
-
4 RepliesI've taught as lot of people, but if I find out they lied about their experience, instant kick. Not sure where this sense of entitlement comes from. There's tons of teaching groups, but if you're weighing the team down and don't want to listen, you can get the boot. Haven't raided near as much in D2 as I did D1, but when I do have to farm a group, I never get mad when I see ridiculous requirements. I also don't jump into a lot of groups I'm "overqualified" for. Those can be pretty toxic

2 RepliesEdited by BashfulCannibal: 7/25/2020 9:05:26 PMI tell you what since you insist I'll let you drag me through a raid, and don't try to argue it's the least I can do.
😂😂 just kidding my man, I completely agree with you. I've played since D1 beta and I have always used LFG to get things done
-
3 RepliesI’m pretty sure you do owe me a raid clear. Thanks for reminding me because I almost forgot. J/k buddy. Just a little Friday fun.
-
If I want to run a raid I am not very familiar with, I will message the person and be upfront about that, rather than just joining the fire team.
-
At the end of the day there are entitled players who feel like they should be exceptions, If someone wants to make a lfg post that says need [however many clears]+ and you dont even have 1 and you wonder why you are kicked you cant blame them for doing so, they just want a quick easy raid with no explanation. If you want to run a raid and you can’t find one to join you are perfectly capable of doing it on your own, they probaly wont do it because then they will probably end up with a bunch of players with not even 1 clear. It does get really annoying over time
-
3 RepliesThe issue lies in not many people having patience or willingness to teach. Ive run fresh squads blind through raids and we had fun, but people up for that kind of style are diamonds in the rough.
