Pinnacle loot repeats “Needs Fix Bungie”
I’m so tired of spending hours grinding out bounties and working towards a pinnacle reward hoping to get armor or weapons to progress my power level. Only to run into repeat after repeat making the time I invested in the game to feel worthless. This to me seems to be intentional to keep players grinding which is in my opinion is a piss poor way to keep players playing the content.
The friends I play with are having this same thing occur to them which seems too much of a coincidence to be RNG based. We can’t all be having such horrible luck with our pinnacle drops.
Post your experience with pinnacle drops and demand Bungie fixes this issue soon because it’s very frustrating investing hours into a reward less game.

I agree 1000% .......... Their RNG seems to be focused to ensure you get bad drops most of the time. Especially in the raid. This the rate of weapon drops for GoS, especially energy weapons in the raid is the most ridiculous thing ever. Just finished a run with challenge at 1058 light and got 2 energy, 2 kinetic, and a class item. My 1st character we didn't do challenge and I got 2 energy and 2 kinetic.... It should be 3x the chance to get armor considering you have 3 chances to run it for weapons each week... Makes me not even want to run GoS again.... They need more activities like the dungeons that guarantee armor drops since weapons are shared. Or, give us at least one pinnacle 'of our choice' per week.

they told us, they would implement a "bad luck protection".... but on the keyboard of the developer the three keys b, a and d were broken.... couldn't get a new one due to corona... so, he developed a "luck protection".... didn't you know? :P

Update: Think I found a way to improve my RNG it’s so far worked with 3 of my pinnacle drops. My theory: Is that the drop given will be the same as your highest equipped piece. So I made sure that whatever piece I needed (being my lowest power piece) was the highest piece I had equipped. Example: My lowest piece was a 1051 chest while my other gear was 1053 or 1052 so before I completed my pinnacle drop I made sure that my chest was the highest piece I had equipped at 1051 while all my other pieces where 1049 or 1050. To my surprise I got a chest to drop at 1054 when completing the new dungeon. It worked two other times so far. Don’t know if it is just dumb luck but my RNG was a lot better and I can finally say I had a productive day playing destiny. Best of RNG luck guardians!

2 RepliesNow isn't that nice. 10 barneys Focused = 3 focused free = high lvl = 3 False Promises all with the exact same perks at my lvl. 7 focused = 7 false promises all with same perks at my lvl. RNG is really really really really great. can't infuse any other weapon as they are all same lvl or better because of higher Blueberries. 10 more Barneys focused = 10 Hollow Words all same perks all same lvl. Pinnacle drops same weapon 4 times same perks same lvl masterwork spot 2 - 4 lvl. why anyone would want ZEN and SLIDE on everyone is anyones guess. 😢🤔🤢😢

Same here, about 5 sets of boots in a row yesterday. Very rewarding to grind this sh*t while its summertime. Seems worse last few weeks. Bungie knows this its just artificially stretching your grind.

2 RepliesGauntlets. Forever getting gauntlets which I do not require. Should have the option to pick an armour piece or weapon for your reward to remove some of the BS that comes with pinnacle drops. Its a horrible grind as it is!

This week I did the garden of salvation and got a bow (surprised lol) the handcannon the auto and the sniper (all energies lol) got a helm from crucible pinnacle, helm from prophecy, fusion rifle from vanguard pinnacle (also energy lol) this is all on my hunter. I’m not wasting my time with my other characters. I’m done with the power grind until next season. It’s not worth the effort anymore. Ubisoft did a pretty good job with “smart loot” in division 2. Wish these lot would do something similar. It took me until the 3rd last week of last season to reach pinnacle level on my hunter and warlock. Titan never made it there. I’m glad there’s the bonus power from the artefact though.

It's not a coincidence it's the way Bungo designs it. It make a loot pool for the week and good luck leveling up. I run into the same thing all the time. My son has the same thing happen. Pinnacles repeat your highest piece of armor or weapon and drop at same power instead of tracking the lowest piece. Wouldnt even bother me if we had 50 pinnacles we could do in a week but they are limited and sometimes it takes weeks to get that one armor piece to come up to base power. So many issues with this game the bean counters aren't paying attention at Bungie otherwise they would be handing Luke Smith his walking papers.

You ever notice how it seems to take an extra second or two to 'think' about what it wants to give you? 'RNG' that is predictable is not RNG. But, as usual, Bungie do not care.

I generally think people are overreacting with these posts, but it's been happening to me way too much as well. Pinnacles on the same slot (energy weapons) and 4 items decrypting to the same armor set is a common occurrence now. Something seems up.

Yes this has been really noticeable this past week. A conspiracy theory could be that the algorithm has been adjusted to increase play time. I’ve experienced bad RNG before but this past week there have been far too many posts like this to believe it isn’t something more. Iron Banner is next week. Let’s see if there’s duplicate drops with those pinnacles as well?

Ikelos shotgun Getting artifact levels is faster than getting pinnacles at this point...

Let us level our guardian, rather than our gear. As in, still level the same components (kinetic, energy, heavy, legs, helmet, etc.). Example: say your arm slot is 1050; no matter what gauntlet you slot there it remains that level. I always found it silly we are supposed to be these god-slaying guardians, but without our gear, we are paper.

Yea I feel they should have a checklist type knockout system.. I was 1059.7 going into this week on my hunter... needing just a heavy, a bond and a chest... with all of my pinicle drops this week... I'm 1059.9.... out of every pinicle drop including the raid I got a heavy and chest... i got 5 kinetics and the rest energy.... I wont be doing the raid again because of this!! I got so many weapon drops on all 3 of my characters! My titan has 1059 everything with a 1060 bond.. my warlock has 1059 everything again with a 1060 bond and my hunter has 1060 everything but with a 1059 bond.... usually I dont care to be max level so fast but seeing as i was as close as I was at the start of the week it's very disappointing not one character could even hit max!
