Thousands of upvotes for no sunsetting yet you’re still gonna go through with it . You’re not listening. You don’t care what your community wants , you only care bout “your vision”. You’re digging your own graves.
Edit- this is a looter shooter! Why would I play a looter shooter where only 20 pieces of gear are relevant? There are millions of different builds of perks , armor , weapons , mods , exotics , that create unique “ways to play” this severely limits that and is the exact opposite of the “play the game your way” model they presented and that we all love.

Why would you play a looter shooter where you only used a handful of weapons for years. Sunsetting is not the issue. Having powerful weapons with useful perks is.

10 RepliesNot being salty at all, but to your point...why play a looter shooter if you just use the same handful of guns for years?

They have been failing to listen since September 9, 2014.

We ALL know Bungie will not revert their decision and scrap plans to sunset weapons. We ALL know that most of the people unhappy about it won't stop playing the game. To that I say, keep up the rebellion!

You can listen all day long and only hear what you want to hear.

1 ReplyMy faith in Bungie is presently at an all-time low. Based on what we’ve received for new weapons and perks these past 3 seasons I don’t have much optimism that new weapons introduced into the game will be any better than what is being sunset. I play endgame and grind to get the best rolls and raise my power level via the artifact to make completing endgame content easier. When weapons that are used in endgame are sunset which makes them unusable in endgame going forward(season 12) the new replacement weapons take their place by default. What if the replacements are weak, meaning endgame becomes more of a grind? We’ve already witnessed this to an extent. The Nerfs to Well and Snipers(Izanagi) now have players using Xenophage by default for boss DPS. What was once an easy 2 phase boss kill for most raid groups has now morphed into a 3 phase boss kill for many because of the nerfs. I would argue that this example makes the game less fun to play because player power has ultimately been weakened to extend the encounter.

I mean we can just have activities equivalent to original reckoning every season and in every corner of the game. Just toxic groups demanding this and that, not because its preferred, but because it's downright required to even do it. They are literally just giving themselves some room to breathe for a change. Instead of designing themselves into several different corners all at once.

3 Replies“We want destiny to become a collector’s game” I’d say they don’t even listen to the boss.
-
2 RepliesExcept they are listening. Everyone whined last season. So much gear to farm yet none of it matters...because we already have better gear. Well now that is being dealt with just like everyone wanted.

Edited by Gahzirra: 5/18/2020 1:39:40 PMDo you ever think that Activision kinda breathes a sigh of relief?

2 RepliesThis isnt the first time either. This community begged them NOT to do double primaries or 4vs4 only pvp before the BETA launched and they ignored all feedback, dropped the game which shit the bed hard for months before they finally acknowledged they made mistakes and then ensured the fixes were behind thier dlcs (6vs6 behind warmind, special weapons back for forsaken) They know the community hate these changes, but when the community is dissatisfied with them they blow up the game as bad as they can then promise fixes down the line. When they fix things suddenly they're celebrated as "the best company ever, they listen to thier players". That's what they're going to do again - kill the game, bring things back months from now you already owned and make you regrind for it and be hailed as great devs because they brought back your favorite × for the season That's the bungie way, shit on the players then wipe them clean and the players hail them as heros

dude ...lighten up ... it's going to be all right ....NOT! They do listen ...but they hear nothing ...especially luke. For 6 years they have unlearned everything ... its amazing ... :) special kind of stupidity indeed is Bungie.

14 RepliesWhat the community wants =/= whats best for the game. The majority of players don't understand the big picture and only see the immediate effects and REEEEEE to the forums. They also believe the hyperbole that one person posts and echo it out as if it's 100% the truth. They are not taking our weapons away, yet a few people say it in hyperbolic fashion and people fail to understand that and they believe that their weapons are being deleted.

1 Reply"if you don't agree with every opinion this forum has you aren't listening" -people that need to grow up

Personally I’m a what and see what we get as I’m not obligated or forced to play. if a season or dlc for anything turns out a bit meh or worse then I do this magical thing called .....stop playing and find something else completely or TIL something interesting comes into said game
-
Imagine if I listened to my wife the way bungie listens to its community. I could imagine I would be getting some "toxic" feedback at this point.

10 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 5/18/2020 1:41:12 AM"The community" Okay chief I hate to break it to you bit these forums are not the majority of the community nor do they reflect how the playerbase as a whole feels. To be honest these forums are a cesspool and I'm glad Bungie ignores them 90% of the time because this game would be ass if they listened to it.
-
Yes they did when Trials was reinstated. They made us work a season pass progress on bringing back a TEAM ONLY TIMEGATED ACTIVITY!

Found the reason the game is dying. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/256074074/0/0/1 Couldn’t just say “No”?

4 RepliesYou don't want sunsetting weapons and your unwilling to understand that most of the activities are doable without using the very best meta weapons? Sunsetting only means they are shifting the dynamic to something else. It's done across the gaming industry to promote new items being introduced and to compensate for the new mathematics going into the next timeline. If you don't want weapons sunsetted then when should the activity or activities be updated? Never? Just put a new NPC with the exact same stats and one new ability every three months?

I mean honestly we kind of all saw this coming in a way destiny 2 has been one bad idea after another they're basically trying to save their game by resetting everything let's just hope this fall expansion isn't destiny 1.5 version 2 if that's the case bungie you're done. This fall expansion better be way better than the taking king and the rise of iron combined. They're probably thinking it worked The first time let's try it again but bungie what happens when people just don't care anymore You're getting to that point that thin ice is starting to crack those piranhas are hungry they need new meat You're kind of hesitant to step on your own thin ice like I said we should have saw this coming they did this in the first one history repeated it itself.
-
I honestly can't wait to see how they completely ignore the massive forum fires in next week's TWAB. They better not say "we're listening" one more damn time.
-
44 RepliesOk let me give my quick opinion here. I didnt think sunsetting was a good idea until i watched Lono on fireteamchat. Lono makes a point that if our weapons expire then legendaries can be powerful in a variety of ways. This is great. The only issue is, i dont trust bungie to make powerful weapons with meaningful perks. I see reskins and rehash of perks we’ve already had for years.

18 RepliesMmm look at Borderlands. Millions of guns, literally, yet a small handful are actually worthwhile using. You can say they same about any game. It always comes down to what's the best, which leads to a handful of items.
