Who else stopped playing this game, and just goes on the forums for entertainment?
In all seriousness, I feel so much better not wasting my time and money on this game anymore.
I wonder if the player count is dwindling?

Most players trting to come up with solutions to make them sound better on these kinda posts are quite entertaining. But for real I quit on the "Undying Mind" fiasco, then lurked to see if the game was getting better, now I'm just here for entertainment.

I stopped around December and just can’t get back into it. It’s not like I don’t have time working from home but i just can’t be bothered. I want to have some fun while watching the world burn - not be frustrated.

I slowly lost interest after weapon retirment was mentioned and never recanted. Instead of logging in happy to see my characters all decked out on gear i paid dlcs for and earned i just felt a sense of "whats the point" knowing all that time invested is withering away just like any more time i would invest.

I’ll come back to the game when bungie starts doing big expansions a couple times a year instead of this weak seasons nonsense. We need TTK and RoI level expansions. I’d take a couple of those a year versus these horde mode simulators every few months any day. People talk about content droughts but the raids and activities were fun throughout the entire expansions in D1. We actually had vender refreshes back then too. People will say I have rose tinted glasses but I legitimately had an amazing time in D1, bungie hasn’t released anything except for forsaken that gave my that same feel. And even with forsaken it was a RoI size expansion at best.

I check it out from time to time. Not for entertainment purposes as much as just curious where people are at with the game. Around Shadowkeep I started to wake up to what an insidious busy box this game was and I'm just curious how many others are realizing this as well.

I've logged in for maybe an hour since this season dropped. I mind grinding but it's just uninteresting grind this season. Had there been pinnacles I would have do what I do every season and played 500 hours of crucible/strikes/gambit just to add them to my collection, but there wasnt even that, just a boring ass uninteresting public event, a -blam!- ton of bounties from said boring ass event, and a severe lack of anything interesting to do other than the same handful of raids that havent been updated, the same handful of nightfalls which I have absolutely zero interest in trying to complete master level or whatever the hell it is. For the first time since the moment I loaded in to the cosmodrome to a floating eyeball telling me we need to run because alien scavengers are near me, and showing me where the khostov was 5 years ago, I have absolutely no interest in even loading the game up. I come to the forums to see if bungie has addressed the issues with the season and see that nothing has been done or said, so I go back to not touching the game. I'm playing an MMO that ran from 2003 to 2012 then had its servers shut down and is now ran on private servers, on a low end laptop, at minimum graphical settings, and enjoying it more than the raging dumpster fire that this game has become. Maybe when they take the focus off of all of their content going to EV and actually give us engaging, interesting, worthwhile content then I'll be back. But I dont see that ever happening.

8 RepliesGuilty as charged. I tried tho, I really did. After season of the bounty I jumped on to start anew.... and got sleepy. Logged off, jump on again and got kicked twice from the tower. Trials came around. I was under powered and didnt play. Tried one more time to jump and start grinding light and play catch up... I found I'd rather listen to wife's stories on how her day was.... stopped playing. Now I troll the forums for entertainment like I'm missing out on something...sigh 😔

I do the weekly reset for Gambit, Crucible and Strikes, with the bounties. Then I do the daily Gambit/Crucible bounties, for some quick running and gunning. Otherwise, I do like following the various forum headlines.

After this week I feel like... Maybe close to that point. I was halfway done with a mind-numbing bunker clear just sitting there pumping the required number of smg bullets into a barrier servitor and ran out of bullets. Nearly left. Bungie's game design has become cancer.

It's like it's permanently 1998 here 😁 I remember in D1, the forums were full of ppl discussing the planets and weapons and the raid etc. Yes there were still the odd cry baby here and there moaning that a specific gun killed them so it must be op...but there lots of other positive posts too. Now it's just a gold mine of salty tears because all the entitled ppl want the game catered exactly to their requirements. I mean I love it cos I have an addiction to salt 👍

The last season killed my addiction to Destiny for good, didn’t buy this season and honestly can’t see me going back unless there is a monumental shift in the direction the game takes, which will never happen while they have Luke Smith involved. Even a ten dollar turd is still a turd. Spent a lot of time here over the last few years so like to come back and laugh at the idiots who still blindly defend and support this crock of shit whilst telling people who don’t play to get off the forums.
