Destiny has a habit of dissapointing players but my gosh this season is above all others in its failure to keep me feeling engaged. Was max base power by the Wednesday of the week the DLC dropped, was maxed out on both other characters by the Thursday and my bunker was fully upgraded by Friday morning. Since then I've had nothing at all to do. Not enough players at max power to compete in any pinnacle activities. I put up group invites and nobody responds which is a first for me as I've always managed to have eight or ten people minimum want to join me. The problem? They just aren't strong enough and that is not their faults. Have managed to grind out a couple of nightmares and in both attempts was dropped duplicate gear and so absolutely no benefit at all which has made me decide I'm not going to be mugged off for a third time. The strikes as always are the same. The nightfall is too tough for most average players so even when I run the heroic version I spend my whole time reviving people and riding by the seat of my pants at the boss whilst my team mates are dead and besides, it's a boring nightfall it really is. There is absolutely nothing to do and by nothing I mean nothing that is engaging or exciting. Everytime I think destiny cannot get any worse it never fails to let me down and the Seraph runs are also boring. Everybody hates public events as it is and I haven't seen anybody asking for more or new ones so what on earth possessed bungie to create this one? Legendary lost sectors were challenging at first but only three of them this last fortnite and at this stage I'm just running through them like any other lost sector. I mean what was the reward for levelling up my character? Boredom? Thanks bungie as always. I've been playing Apex which speaks volumes because that's also a uniquely boring game but this past two weeks, compared to detsiny at least, it feels rewarding and less mundane. Edit for the nay sayers who tell me there is more to come... Week three... More reskinned content. More basic bounties... More boredom. Ill keep you posted on the reskins and reruns we get resold in the weeks ahead. I hope I don't steam roll through this massive DLC too quickly and complete the lost sectors I've run a million times too rapidly. Ironically alot of the people who said that the content was fine can't even run the lost sectors as they just aren't powerful enough so it's news to me but apparently running around farming bounties to level up enough to be able to run lost sectors that have been in the game between nine months and three years is satisfactory content? The lost sectors are really boring. I don't remember seeing a single thread or complaint about the lack of lost sectors and even if there had been people complain, what is the answer? To throw a few champions into old ones and say yep, that's your DLC?
