I'm sorry Mr. Tassi, but I have to disagree

In the latest Forbes article, Paul Tassi lists recommended weapons to get before trials. The only pulse rifle that was listed is Bygones. No Vigilance Wing? No Blast Furnace? I get that it's your list, but of all the pulses I've seen lately, Bygones is just above the suros pdx models you can get from fractaline donations. Here's the link. If you've got any better suggestions, post below. The only question...is it the Bygones Love Club, or the Paul Tassi boys? Hmmm, both sound like band names from the 80s. XD

    • I think the main issue is that pulse rifles may not be a top choice for trials. I think you’ll be combating snipers and even fusions in the range you’d use the pulse and it won’t be as mobile as a hamdcannon. Bygones is the most reliable and forgiving pulse and is likely the reason Paul Tassi mentions it (I haven’t read the article). With light enabled Bygones may become a consistent 2 burst if you’re higher than your opponent so it would be extremely powerful. I’d also like to try the Broadsword out too if I can get high light level fast.

I never understood why folks use Bygones at all besides the YT hype. I just don't see the reason. Adaptive frames are the worst pulses. 0.93 optimal TTK with 3 bursts without any range advantages to other pulse frames either. For comparison 150 hand cannon optimal TTK is 0.8. Even within adaptive frame pulses Last Perdition can have better perk combinations in my opinion (range finder and kill clip being on separate columns instead of the same one / shutting each other out and firmly planted or moving target also being options). But even that loses out to other pulse frames: Aggressive frames 2-burst with 0.73 TTK. Sacred Provenance, Blast Furnance, Right Side of Wrong. There's so many farmable amazing options that aren't only far superior to adaptive frames but even kill faster than 150 hand cannons. Then high impact frame pulses exist. 2-burst with 0.67 optimal TTK that's very unforgiving (only 1 bodyshot allowed) but it'll objectively win any medium range primary fight just by killing the opponent faster than they can you if you have good enough aim. Eynstein-D, Premonition and Redrix are all good options. Then V-Wing exists. Very forgiving 2-bursts with 0.77 optimal TTK where you don't even need to land the whole last burst and can have bodyshots mixed in a lot if you do. Literally the only reason I can see why Bygone's popular because a couple YTbers mistakenly think it's the best pulse available when it's factually one of the worst. I'd imagine Tassi got his recommendation from the same sources without testing stuff himself or opening light.gg.
