Bungie i get the micro transactions

though some don't, i get it. ever since you split from shitivision you've needed money, you need players to pay with micro microtransactions and not to mention the season pass. But you really can't get much with silver without having to pay another what? $14 dollars? Seriously I honestly think that micro transaction would be less of a problem if the things you buy with silver were a bit cheaper. You have a few choices, 1: decrease prices of silver, 2: Decrease silver needed for items, 3: Bring back leveling engrams or 4: Do nothing. Especially because i swear to god the engrams in the season pass are rigged and you only get the good stuff if you pay with real money

It wasnt the split from Activision. They are monetizing Eververse more now because the game is free and you can play on other platforms with cross save while not being limited to who you play with by keeping up to date on the newest DLC. The barrier between players has been eliminated. That being said, something has to take the cost of the base game originally $60 being free, CoO and Warmind being free and also discounted DLC's going onward. That would be Eververse. An optional cosmetic shop that still gives you Bright Dust options, and hasn't taken away anything that was free in the past, being you can still obtain them through the Nostalgic/Fond Memories engram. Anything newer, after the New Light update, is being sold directly for Silver with a weekly rotational selection for Bright Dust.

    • You have no idea how this industry works if you think Microtransactions are needed. Games are stupid cheap to make. Bungie is just grifting. And now you're shilling for their anti consumer behavior.

      • In the beginning Eververse was implemented to fund new, free content like the dawning, valentines and Halloween events, the only problem now is they aren’t new anymore, they just put the same crap out for each event every year. Somebody was telling lies.

      • Just make stuff cost less silver. Then if people are dropping ten bucks on silver and can say get 3 items you're going to see more people buy silver and use it and Bungie is still making the same amount of money. Make better bundles. Simple as that.

Id rather have a sandwich combo than to look cool for 3 years 😂 But, i feel like they are not maximizing their revenue at these prices. Although i dont have any figures to prove this, im sure alot of people would choose not buy eververse items at these prices.

          • They have nostalgia engrams still for the old system. You want new stuff? You have to pay for it. That should answer half of your post. As far as pricing. Value is always subjective. I will never spend money on cosmetics in a game, so pricing is fair to me.

              • I honestly have no issue with Eververse existing, I just think it could take a back seat for a season so the actual game can get something more than armour my two year old could design. The silver price vs what you can buy for it is a super scummy gambling tactic too, gotta leave a little bit in your inventory so you think the next purchase is cheaper.

              • The problem with this is that Bungie have micro transactions, in a game that features paid service, all while the game launched at full price. Yes, you can definitely get the game for significantly cheaper than when it launched, but have you ever played a game that has all three? A full priced launch, paid DLC, and micro transactions? At best, most games stick to one or two. Destiny is the only game I can think of that uses all three. That's why people call Bungie greedy.

They need to pick just one or two monetization schemes and stick with it... they have made money with this game 5 different ways over it's lifetime. That is why people think they are greedy. Retail launch, retail expansion, passes, and cash virtual shop... and don't forget their real life merchandise store too. The only gimmick they haven't tried is straight up monthly subs for access. Personally, I would ike to see the timed, temporary passes go away. Just a blatant cash grab. Keep the cosmetics cash shop angle if they must... but do proper freaking expansion/DLC packages and not this temporary season pass BS.
