I see what you mean. Just because the game mode is designed to be played a certain way doesn’t mean it’s going to [i]actually[/i] be played that way.
In one match I had a guy in every round go to the same lane and get domed by the same sniper. I’m sure you’ve got more stories like or worse than that!
I also see how making it Clash simplifies the objective-just get more kills than the other team- but I still think you would have the same problems as survival.
It seems your main issue is your team mates who don’t play well. Changing the game mode won’t change players inability to get kills, work as a team and die less.
Another issue is the idea of competitive versus quickplay/casual game modes. High level PvE activities like Nightfalls, Raids, Dungeons etc require team play and communication. Coordination with your team has been an important part of success in the higher levels of Crucible as well - Trials, Higher levels of Comp.
So I get where you’re coming from, having bad team mates is the worst in a competitive game mode. But changing to Clash doesn’t change your team mates and in the higher levels of Comp Clash would not stop a better team from stomping a less capable team.
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
