Everything was going fine, I got logged in for the first time into Destiny 2 (through steam) and playing. Gameplay was relatively smooth until later with some unusual fps drops but no crashes of sorts or anything like that. I decided to try and fix the small fps drops with some tweeks here and there. After the tweeks I attempted to launch the game again and it gives me this error:
"Problem reading game content. Please close Destiny 2, right click on Destiny 2 in the Steam app to run 'VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES...' in 'Properties'. Then restart Destiny 2 to try again"
I've done this process about 5 times, also looking at firewalls, Running as Admin from game files. But keeps giving me the same message. My internet is pretty slow so I don't really want to resort to re-downloading right away.
Please help to find fix.

1 ReplyHey guys, maybe you can delete "steam_appid" file in your destiny 2 in your steam library folder. Thanks to BNGHelp6 for this glorious suggestion https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/253739304?sort=0&page=0

2 RepliesI've tried redownloading it, its still broken for me. It started for me after I checked the boxes to disable fullscreen optimizations and checked the box to run as administrator under properties > compatibility. Now I'm screwed it would seem.
