Why is everyone saying Dattokeep?
Ive been living on another planet. Does someone want to explain why people are using Dattokeep when referring to Shadowkeep?

20 RepliesBecause unlike these forums (and reddit to a degree but they maintain a much higher level of civility than this place ever does), Datto can actually form cohesive arguments and complaints in a logical and concise manner, and yet no one is actually refuting his points because they're absolutely right. The problem with these forums is that 99% of every thread is almost foaming-at-the-mouth levels of unbridled hatred and rage for the game forumgoers claim to be fans of.

People think Datto controls Destiny and are big mad. But in their fury the don't seem to realize that this sort of mob mentality is exactly why you shouldn't consult the majority anything important. So now we have a bunch of internet randoms getting mad at a turbo nerd because something something not my Destiny 2 or whatever...

16 RepliesBecause Bungie constantly ignores the community. The Datto rants in a video and Bungie does exactly what he asks for..... again. Mostly the community is tired of being ignored while Datto can just make a suggestion and it happens. Or redeem complain about Jotuun and it’s handled but you can cheese comp countdown Bungie knows and ignores. So we are tired of being ignored while streamer issues are attended to immediately.

12 RepliesTL;DR: Theres this streamer/YouTuber called datto and he's the most popular destiny 2 YouTuber and he always says what he wants nerfed and buffed and bungie only listens to him INSTEAD of the fans Whenever datto makes a video giving his opinion about destiny and what he'd change, it's really weird stuff too sometimes and most people don't agree with him but bungie still does what he says cause he's like ninja but for destiny 2 Sometimes bungie kinda d!ckrides him, probably just cause datto is helping to keep destiny 2 alive

Because from what i read in the forums it was always people crying about facing stacks not being able to get pinnacle weapons because they dont want to play with others not being able to raid because they don't want to play with others enhancement cores OEM bottom tree striker nova warp spectral blades shardes of galanor shotgun apes and the same meta for over a year

4 RepliesYou guys are -blam!-ing delusional if you think bungie only caters to streamers. Last I checked almost 1 million players are not all streamers. That's like saying banks only give out loans to the people with the highest/Greatest credit score on earth. Yes the ones with incredible credit score get great benefits (because they worked for it) other people can still get a loan on a smaller scale. Same with destiny. The streamers get the loot, gear and completions because they put their time into it where as people who play 1 hour a week truly cannot complain about change when they're barely experiencing the game in the first play.

So Datto complains about the game being too easy, and Bungie says "okay let's make the grind even longer". Doesn't work that way. That aside, it's his voice that actually gets listened to. I've seen forum posts with 1-2k upvotes get completely ignored by Bungie while ones with just 100 get (meme) responses from dmg or whoever else, and it hurts not only us, but it hurts Bungie themselves.

For some reason people are obsessed with the pizza face. Who knows... I’m like a small minority of the game that doesn’t care for streamers and likes to play with friends. Kids need a light somewhere in life.. unfortunately even in games. 😂

2 RepliesI believe it's mainly cause the game is pushed to be more streamer/YouTuber friendly and Bungie puts these people on Pedestals calling them "Community Leaders". This leads to a double fault cause most will just praise the game and Bungie no matter what they do wrong along with when changes happen that people will be unhappy with they mention a Streamer/YouTuber. While there's only been 1 YouTuber I can find that 90% of his views I share, shoutout to Joker, he doesn't get the same treatment for being more or less realistic about the game and the state of things calling Bungie out on a ton of things wrong. As for people moving towards the term Dattokeep using the previous statements I made in this post Datto has been everywhere when it comes to mentions of Shadowkeep even putting himself there in his own videos. With him the most talked about person, probably more than Eris at this point, when it comes to Shadowkeep people have latched onto the idea that the two things are in unison Shadowkeep and Datto. So something isn't Bungie's fault for screwing up like they usually do right now because they've helped put all eyes on Datto so if anything is wrong it'll be his fault first then theirs. Just my view on the situation so far.

Because like most games it's being tailored to any youtuber or streamer. Datto and many other youtubers that have nothing better to do let alone a game they like ruining it for everyone else.
