I think the way you all decided to handle this was fair to everyone. Thumbs up.
To clarify I didn’t do the cheese but totally would have. Doesn’t make a difference to me whether you did or not but overall just satisfied with the response Bungie went with.

I did the cheese and I was very much ok doing it. Bungie should not be punishing players for mistakes of their own developers. This is very lame logic. By this same logic: 1. People running wild with the broken LoW in the crucible, should be stripped off all their kills and progress and wins, etc. 2. People using the menagerie cheese must be stripped off their gear earned that way. 3. People AFKing for stuff must be mandatorily AFKed for a few weeks or logged out. Else it's all double standards! C'mon guys, add more to this above list!

Alright I was salty at first but I guess it was kinda unfair for players who did the quest immediately...
-
8 RepliesSame could be said about menagerie. Y'all were cheating n shit.
-
1 Replyno one would cheat if the damn quest wasnt so ridiculous.

3 RepliesEdited by Flea Flicker: 7/19/2019 4:20:46 PMHaving to spend bright dust to purchase tributes was a bush league move by Bungle. Other than that the Tribute Hall has been fun and well done.

Edited by STEL: 7/20/2019 3:48:10 AM"pledged large amounts of their resource reserves" = Resource Mangers forcing an economy rest. Bright Dust = Forcing Community to use Eververse, spend it all on Tributes and have an economy reset for Shadowkeep. Bungie = Big Middle Finger to the Community (laughing all the way to the Bank while saying "We know you threaten not to buy the game but you still do").

3 RepliesIt's funny how a PvE cheese gets corrected instantaneously but I'm still getting players going invisible in comp. Where it actually matters if you win or lose.
-
8 RepliesAgree. But disappointed that they still ignore the way a lot of players got their pinnacle Competitive weapons.
-
2 RepliesI cheesed it...and glad I did, so I could get a feel for the weapon and concur how I felt about it in D1...piece of crap weapon. I see the response from Bungie about what they plan to do, could care less...I don't use that weapon anymore. It barely hits hard. The fact it helps get your super faster is ridiculous...we already can drop orbs with other weapons, thus doing what bad juju does, without having to take up an exotic spot with a piece of crap weapon. It fires great, etc, but the impact is super low...worthless.

1 Replythis the #Destiny2 section. please discuss #Destiny weapons in the proper forum.

Wait, what was there response?
-
104 RepliesHonestly I am kind of disappointed by this response, since it basically flies in the face of bungie's general policy up till now. Bungie has made it very clear in the past that if an exploit is entirely within the game, then those that use it will have no negative repercussions, and yet now they are going back on the policy. Different developers have different policies when it comes to this type of stuff. BioWare has always made it clear that they have basically zero tolerance, and so if there is a big bug/exploit, they will roll people back or lock things, ect. Bungie on the other hand has always made it clear that so long as you don't use something outside of the game, such as pulling the internet, or something like that, then nothing will happen to you. And I am fine with either policy, so long as it is made clear, and the company sticks to it. My issue comes in when companies start picking and choosing when they are going to use each policy, which isn't really fair to your player base. Pick a policy and stick to it.

3 RepliesExcept for the sad fact of actually finding out about the glitch on these forums. Including the link to describe it in detail. To be completely honest I don’t think (along with other youtubers) that the tribute hall is there for any other reason than to clean you out dry. If you have the Redrix Claymore/Broadsword then I can only say that’s Bad JuJu. It’s not a good Exotic at all. If you’re just taking out low power adds it’s fun. If you think you are taking down a yellow bar in one magazine have fun. I don’t check replies so troll away kids.
-
1 ReplyBungie should ban themselves, cuz they are the one who is making this happen. Don’t blame the guys who is doing this cheese.
-
Dust? Just sell Shaders/Exotic Sparrows/Ghost ect you don't use...
-
I'm 23 out of 50 and it's staying there. I'm too cheap to go broke. Lololol
-
2 RepliesBut no fix for LOW. WHAT A JOKE OF Z COMANY. If it involves the players, bungie will fix it whenever they please. But it is something with PVE, bungie is all over it. Crap company that doesn’t care about PVP or its players
-
I'm in the same boat. I think, in this case, where some get it free and some have to spend their career savings, is just too much of a discrepancy. I don't mind when people find cheeses usually...like the last wish chest or even the pinnacle enhancement core deal(which ill be real, i kinda wish i could gotten in on thathe last one, but I wasn't and I'm not mad at the people who did). But this time, it's too much to not put it back at an even playing field. As much as I want to believe it's for the greater good, bungie wants us spending all our mats for a reason, but regardless, fair fix. I use cheeses when discovered too, almost anyone would. But I wouldn't even be mad at this if I was one of those people, I just got started too quickly lol.

3 RepliesThey should have been reset completely. Start to finish. Bad juju revoked.
-
Agreed
-
1 ReplyFair would have been to lock out the Bad Juju as well and make them pay up to get it unlocked.
-
if it really didnt matter to you , you wouldn't have made this post. You were crying when you found out there was an exploit and you already were at 41.5 of 50 tributes. Now you feel better. Stop lying.

12 RepliesEdited by CatMan: 7/19/2019 5:07:14 PMSome of the ones saying good job bungie are the same ones -blam!- about the menagerie cheese patch. Some backwards mo4s.

I applaud this too and heavily. Not so much because I spent a ton of materials (which I had) but all the time I'm spending now to get the rest of the tributes running Gambit and PvP a gazillion times AGAIN. Same quest story, run this a gazillion times get another several thousand gazillion kills of that, collect an infinite number of xxx. Congratulations you earned vault fodder. Yeah real fun there Bungie real fun. Well it must be because I'm doing it :( But on the bright side I have my Outbreak (till its nerfed and worthless too, sniff sniff)

11 RepliesAn appropriate response to selling a game that is misfunctioning, is to punish your players for playing it? Sounds legit.
-
6 RepliesThumbs down to not being consistent in their stance to punishment
