I agree, i enjoy the hard-core content such as zero hour and dungeons. I just think that the core mechanics should be much more casual as to keep accessibility to everyone as well as just making the game flow better in terms of levelling and gear.
But by all means make a nice blend of hard-core and casul activities like trials and quickplay, strikes and more raids and difficult weapon quests.
I think bungie just makes these activities redundant because they feel the unfaltering itch to balance everything and everything, including those hard fought weapons so they are just sub tier. A fix to this would be to incentivise comp more so the ‘op’ weapon wielding hard core players can battle it out with their higher tier weapons. But they don’t and all the lunas and NF flood to QP and they get nerfed because of bungies failure to direct the flow of the players.

Edited by Gigafloh: 5/11/2019 12:03:27 AMSure, if we had meaningful sources of motivation (I don't count triumphs, they should just be a Gimmick like in any other game) like trials or any kind of Strike/Raid/Comp/Gambit leaderboards I would be completely fine by whatever you propose to change about equipment, cores and what not.
