It’s okay buddy love will find a way. Then again maybe you should start considering other alternatives you know... join a book club or... write a book about being into men as a men or uh create a podcasts dedicated to the LGBTQ community. Maybe join a knitting circle or take your cousin (if you need a cousin I can pretend to be your cousin $7 an hour) to go bowling. I’ll use the name Roman Belic and you’ll be Niko Belic. No one will know we’re not actually cousins rather just two dudes chucking balls into gutters. Yeah that last bit didn’t even sound good in my head. Carry on.

Knitting ain’t my thing Book club...eh.... Not the biggest fan of bowling Podcast could be....actually probably best not. Book could be fun though

Edited by Kaishi Ritsu: 4/5/2019 3:16:45 PMHear me out What if We did a podcast together. Ooooohhhhhh partnership. Think of all the nice guys that you could pick up with your fat stacks of cash pouring in.

A podcast needs ads to make money. Given BOTH of our personalities we’d scare them away
-
That’s why we get into smaller sponsorships and merchandising. Then we set up donations once we have a decent audience so they can support the show if they enjoy it. Plus not to mention how much money is given out to people getting viral videos. It’s a gold mine.

Yet the viral videos aren’t guaranteed.

Edited by Kaishi Ritsu: 4/5/2019 5:00:05 PM
Yet the viral videos aren’t guaranteed.
Part 1 My sub box would like to have a word with you. If your videos are reaching 600k views+ in the first week of that video going up then the money is just rolling in. I’ve found thousands of creators on YouTube over the last two years that are constantly getting a million views or more on every video by a week after those videos come out. These are also people who don’t stream constantly so they aren’t getting donations. Most of them don’t have patreons some of them have merch and sponsors but most time it’s just some people messing around and going viral because of it. It’s honestly not as difficult anymore. All you need to do is find a group of more well known creators doing similar content and get a shoutout. At that point people now a days are so in love with discovering new content especially content related to the person they watch constantly. It’s like if Marvel gave DC a pat on the back. Fans would be like “hey look at that DC also makes superhero stuff I’m gonna go splooge and get more content because marvel recommended them” but in reality Marvel and DC are two brothers fighting over the last hot pocket. Of course no one would share a single hot pocket that’s ludicrous. Point is just getting your name on a bigger channel that does similar content will make a night and day difference. Back then shoutouts were so terrible. People complained about having someone new to watch about having more content to enjoy each week. Now a days shoutout are how creators grow on the platform and twitch well it’s been pretty similar. I’ve met a lot of twitch streamers who got large because they were mentioned by someone else. Here’s an example of both platforms now I have no clue what type of content you watch however I’ll just give some basic gaming examples.

Edited by Kaishi Ritsu: 4/5/2019 4:59:53 PMPart 2 YouTube: Take someone like Terroriser who in many ways blew up because of the success of Vanoss Gaming. The constant collaborations the constant channel plugs in descriptions and the constant humor from Brian and Evan and the rest of the VG Group gave people like Brian a chance to go far on the platform. Twitch now this is more outside of my ballpark because well to be frank I don’t watch much twitch. Now again I’m gonna go with a gaming content creator this time one of the heavy hitters in R6S. TheRussianBadger. My man Spencer who is well known for having some of the best made video when it comes to any gaming content period (especially his siege videos) Spencer helped other smaller twitch streamers and even YouTube content creators grow by featuring them on streams or in his edited videos. As you can imagine this led to lots of channels blowing up moments after getting introduced to his audience. Seriously the guy makes some rad content. Now as for getting views on your own I like to think of channels outside my norm. RT game a channel with over one and a half million subscribers who has been growing at a crazy rate has in a way succeed without much help. Another great channel that gets hundreds of thousands of views constantly is TheRadBrad. Solo creator who basically does game playthroughs on YouTube. Guys a legend. Worth subscribing to because he’s one of the more honest and fair creator when it comes to game reviews and playthroughs. I enjoyed his playthrough on Spider-Man PS4 to the point where I even went back to watch the dlc videos because he’s that great of a creator

Honestly that’s too much YT technical shiz-wa for me to understand. Can you break it down into about 15 words?

Edited by Kaishi Ritsu: 4/5/2019 5:05:29 PMTLDR for my boy Chubby: Shoutouts are key to going viral on YouTube and Twitch.
also I do apologize for all the slang. When it’s your future you kinda gotta be aware of what it takes.
Equipment?
-
Equipment is important yes especially early on. However it’s more along the lines of collaborating with a bigger channel doing similar content. It would be like if you took me and put me in a five stack in siege of decent players who may have their own channels. That’s what really helps build these channels over a handful of weeks going from 5k subs to half a million in days. It’s crazy.

Could have me third wheel.

Which part?
Which part?
The part where you two just made an idea for a podcast. Just like that.
-
Fair enough.

See even offtopic thinks it’d be cool. I’m not crazy after all. Well maybe I am but the point is you’d get a lotta support doing something as cool as that. I was spitballing ways you could find new people and I was trying to be a better friend by offering. You’re my buddy and I wanna see you achieve success.
-
Oh I know. I’m sure my charm and amazing sense of humour would be great for Offtopic.
