The reason being let’s actually see if the streamers and Youtuber elitist actually speak for the concerns of the community, or if they are only worried about their pocketbooks $$$$. My honest guess would be the latter.

I wonder how many will ask about a lack of new strikes? Probably none. They want a new raid. And dungeon. And pinnacle weapons. They only see the top 5% of the end game & have zero interest on how to keep a solo PvE grinder in the game. Bear in mind.. less than 10% of player base finish a raid. All the streamers regularly raid. Math Class & the like.. Datto will not speak for the D2 fan who only has 4-5 hours a week. I doubt any streamer will. I doubt any of them will come at the game from a solo point of view. Building your game on the feedback of the top 1% is a bad idea & the other 99% jus feel further away from the game. Even though we make up the majority of players & money's spent.

91 RepliesEdited by Seraphim Crypto: 3/22/2019 1:29:28 AMSo you want to give those people you hate because they don't represent you even more spotlight? In any case, streaming the summit is a bad idea. All the people who will be there will feel pressured by the entire community. It might ruin their entire reputation (if they have any - remember that not all of the visitors are content creators) if they don't ask a single question you feel they should ask. They would never be able to represent all of you, because they don't represent all of you. They represent their respective corners and their communities - they are PvE or PvP players, Raid Experts, Solo players, even just regular forum goers. And they could never give their honest opinion on the next content if every one of you would breathe down their neck, ready to shit on them at every moment. Don't get me wrong, I love this Community. But we all know how easy the Internet can make a person a victim of collective, targeted mobbing. They don't deserve that. Have some faith in them. They will represent you well by giving their honest feedback. That feedback will certainly not just be praise. I'm not saying this because I'm a Bungie asslicker like some people may think here. I'm saying this because all of us, but especially the people who go there are human - they are people like you and me. They're sitting in a plane for lots of hours, far away from their comfy home, to make the game better for all of us, not just for themselves. They got my respect for going out there. What would you do if you were there?

1 ReplyEdited by Hatter: 3/22/2019 8:01:03 PMA ninja already replied on this, but this is a terrible idea. I can give you multiple...MULTIPLE research reasons on why you would not and very much should not do that (and this is coming from someone who does professional research!). You are not here to spectate them. You are not here to dictate what they can or can't say. And, these people shouldn't feel pressure from all of us. They already have enough on them as it is. Not all of them are streamers, you need to get that through your thick skulls. Stop demonizing people. And stop asking to put them in a light where you can witch hunt them. That is not cool. I understand your sentiment in wanting to be heard, but this is really, REALLY not cool. These are your fellow gamers. C'mon now guys.

Hahahaha as if 😂 There's NDAs for a very good reason 😉
-
You know they talk about stuff that isn't ready for the public yet right? Last time Bungie showed them Gambit which as top secret at the time
-
12 RepliesJust stop watching the streamers, hurt the streamer instead this way they are forced to listen. I find it weird that you guys watch streamers stream destiny 2. Theres no content in the streams because theres no content to really care about watching
-
They can do whatever they want, I'm done. I've been watching a company trip over itself for 4 years now and I don't really care anymore. Either they produce a fun quality product or they don't. How they get there is up to them. What's up to me is finding a place where I want to spend my spare time, it's bad when flaming the company in the forums is more fun than playing their game.
-
2 RepliesI smiled at this. Man the only way anyone live streams anything like that is when theyve prepped for the dog and pony show. OR if your Donald Trump and then you dgaf.
-
I wouldn’t watch it. I’m sure I’d just get annoyed at all the suggestions I’d absolutely hate if they were implemented.

3 RepliesEdited by PJ5: 3/22/2019 3:46:46 AMThese greedy streamers were the cause of several bad changes to d2. Bungie seriously wants another summit full of their ideas instead of surveying all the d2 players?!
-
1 ReplyBetter idea. Have Bungie ask the community 5 questions and then have the steamers review the feedback and then ask questions. Mrylin games did this.
-
2 RepliesHaha, the "summit" is simply a ploy hoping that streamers will bring the playerbase back. Nothing to see there.
-
Of course it would be the latter. It would be the latter no matter which side it was though. It’s human nature.
-
1 ReplyNow that I would watch on my smartphone while taking a big dump.
-
Bungie are just plain incompetent at this point, you may be better off directing your feedback to someone like Unkown player or Datto or the likes. Maybe just slip in a D2 feedback request amongst the video replies for example ;)
-
1 ReplyBut the point of the summit is to get community feedback on yet unreleased content. Showing everyone that content in a stream really defeats the point of inviting people to the summit to look at it in the first place.
-
3 RepliesGreat idea. Then we can see what all those sweaty slag streamers are going to ruin for us this time. Except True Vanguard. He’s good.
-
Idk about that. Won't really matter. Bungie will do what they want regardless of feedback.
-
Excellent idea,
-
1 ReplyDo they all sit in a circular court of gold? Questions
-
4 Repliesif any streamer streams this i will donate 100 dollars and sub for one year.
-
Not gonna happen. The people who are going to the summit are going there to play The Season of Opulence (Penumbra), Bungie have worked hard to keep as much about Penumbra secret ( by redacting most of its content in the road map ). They aren’t suddenly going to just reveal everything in a bloody stream.
-
They can't because the streamers are given advanced info about what's coming next at the summit. Literally, anyone that goes to that summit will have insider information.
-
2 RepliesThe problem with this would be that leaks of the new content would spread out quickly through that live stream, which could ruin the later surprise..
-
True transparency. 👍
The reason being let’s actually see if the streamers and Youtuber elitist actually speak for the concerns of the community, or if they are only worried about their pocketbooks $$$$. My honest guess would be the latter.
Hate to break it to you but a very small percentage of the community even watches these individuals. As the content has gone more towards their desires the population has gone down drastically. Bungie needs to stop catering towards this content and start focusing on things like the Forges and content which is completable by matchmade encounters which people can enjoy. The only things that should have any relevance on the streaming/youtube community should be raids and competitive pvp. Unless this results in bringing back the average customer for video games these individuals will continually be limited on not only their subscription numbers but also their income from games like this.
