Can I get an explanation for why it's not OK to show video evidence of people exploiting the game?
Delete this if you must but I would like some dialogue with folks, perhaps in DMs where I can explain what happened and help you ensure a fair gaming experience for the rest of the community.
Thanks

8 RepliesEdited by Kell of Kellogs: 1/28/2019 6:18:14 PMHey there, You can feel free message any ninja in this group for clarification on your specific situation. https://www.bungie.net/en/Groups/GroupMembers?groupId=121 You can find a breakdown on Bungie’s Code of Conduct here. If you suspect someone of cheating, your best bet is to report them in game. If you are no longer able to you can use the report contact form found in this article. https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12960

Same thing happened to me when I revealed someone creating and selling accounts with fully levelled characters. Ultimately once they've got their money for the game and passes they don't care what people do with them, but their public face requires them to make like they do. I've learned to suck it up and move on.

2 RepliesBungie likes to pretend everything's perfect with their game; they resort to deleting posts, blocking people, etc - your best bet is to just not play PvP at all.
-
4 RepliesImagine if bungie took over the world and someone rezzed hitler and he started WW3. Nobody could report on it because it would be naming and shaming. 😂
-
Support the cheaters. Down with rules! (Isn't this Bungie's motto?)
-
1 ReplyCheating is fine, naming cheaters violates the TOS
-
7 Repliesreporting cheaters in d2 will get you in more trouble than actually cheating
-
Reporting to Microsoft/PSN is far more effective, that's if you haven't tried that yet.
-
they are against naming and shaming here. if the persons gamertag was in the video and you posted the video in a public forum that is most likely the reason. they don't want a witch hunt starting.
-
name and shaming on the forums is a NoNo as per the ToS. Even inf you do via link. Honestly - you're better off directing your complaints to your service (ie. xbox live or psn) as they will actually do things about it.
-
Hackers will rot in heck
-
If the video showed the gamers tag then it was a code of conduct issue. Not allowed to use the tag in forum threads or videos where the public has access to them.
-
16 RepliesBetween terms of service and cheating, terms are the only thing they can actually enforce.

Thanks
It violates the naming and shaming rules of the forum. Bungie's SRT does not patrol the forums looking for reports of cheaters. You should report them in game or the manual tool and move on. Posting their info does nothing but generate false reports for the team to have to sort through.

8 RepliesThey try to slip the dirt under the rug, so new players coming to visit the forums wont see that the game has cheaters in it, this is why they are shutting down these threads. It's their way of doing damage control, and they don't even check the in game reports, i proved this.
I reported a hacker with SHADOWPLAY, i uploaded the video on my youtube channel, set it to private and sent the INVITE LINK to the video in my report form, this way i can track who sees it. Guess what? ZERO VIEWS 4 MONTHS LATER, they didn't even bothered, the cheater is still active btw.
-
2 RepliesBecause it's easier for Bungie to ignore reports and tell you that you're not allowed to name people than it is for them to outsmart cheaters. They don't have the brains or resources to make a ban actually stick.
-
Bunghole loves hackers.
-
You’re supposed to report them in game so it goes to the digital trash can and is lost forever and nothing gets done about it
-
How you dare to report a cheater on d2, get ready to be banned 😂😂
-
It is impossible to write or show the nicknames of other players on the forum.

I was offering by accident a week ago to pay 130$ to get NF when I did a post in App Destiny to find people. I am at 3K right now. They showed me how it works by 3 free wins and then I must decided pay or not pay. These guys are using an old exploit from Trials of the Nine with a free server from far away, two host, and two teams dodging matches each other with a similar connection and same ranks. Free wins. I saw how one guy in my trial team at 1500 reached Legend in 6 hours by destinytracker with only 100 games completed at competitive, that's bullshit. I thought about it bc the actual terrible low population at Comp and the fact you need to beat Twitch streamers at +4K, but these guys were an assholes they even treat you like nothing more than money. They only wanted me to join and pay fast not even talking. So let's say they make by one night around 600$. I am no one, but please share this. Some poeple are working hard to high up rank facing NF at the end meanwhile guys like these are breaking the game. Proof https://m.imgur.com/UOJartR I could give you full names and full matches but I dont wanna be ban. Contact to me. Edit: happening on console

This game has cheaters??

1 Replythere are a lot of cheats and aimbots, especially aimbots AHK Scripts that target the health bar of enemy player and shoot right under it smack in the midle, aka headshots. There are a lot of these around, Crucible is a cheat fest

Is the vid on youtube? I'd be interested in watching. Would like to see if it was a legit hacker or a cancer connection that was the cause.
-
Just post the video but don't accuse anyone of cheating. I'm sure that by watching the vid, we can come to that conclusion ourselves and hopefully the video won't get Ninja'd. Because really, Bungie aren't going to do anything about cheaters, but they _will_ ban you from forums for trying to expose said cheaters, because they don't want new players to learn how rampant the cheating is, or how incapable Bungie are of dealing with them. I also recommend using a VPN service, because it may not stop the opposing team from kicking you from the match or lagswitching, but at least it will spare your router wear and tear and save you the bother of having to reset your modem/router/internet connection every time someone in Comp DDoSes you.
