Everybody seems to be calling Black Armory "the worst DLC ever" and "worse than Osiris" I think that is a stretch. We haven't even had it for a day! Bungie did some good things with Forsaken. Lets see what they do with this. Let's just all level up a bit and see what this DLC/Expansion has to offer.

5 RepliesEdited by TotalDramaGamer: 12/5/2018 4:44:44 PMAt this point it has nothing to do with the 'quality' of the expansion. It's all about how well it's handled. If you walk into a restaurant and you get punched in the face by some mad burly guy, doesn't matter how good the food tastes after that (if you even stay), it'll still be a less than enjoyable day. Notice how this has nothing to do with the restaurant itself? This is the LL wall in accustom to the DLC. A somewhat bad analogy, but getting slammed against an LL wall as the first tangible part of the DLC is more or less how people are feeling. The Forge might be the greatest activity ever. It just sucks we can't even complete the first version of it (not even a tutorial version if nothing else). Point is, there should have been something new to occupy our time. We don't have something like that. Almost no one wanted to hop on Destiny, excited for the Forge, to find out they can't do a single version of it. -- TLDR: First impressions are everything, whether we think it's fair or not. That's how life is. To assume anyone or thing is immune to the importance of the first impression is, at best, optimistic and, at worse, absolutely careless.

Signal boost. If the complaints keep coming... ...After all the forges unlocked ...After the new raid is understood ...After the exotic quests unlocked ...After the lore and other triumphs are appreciated Then I’ll say: fair play, gripe received and understood. But this pissing and moaning after 24 hours and... what? im guessing a single digit fraction of all the content is available? Kids can go cry in their Cheerios all they want, I’m not buying it.

5 RepliesI just think it's funny how people who complain on these forums, say they speak for the majority of the playerbase. There's probably 2-5000 on the forums complaining about this content drop. There's probably close to a 1000 defending. The largest majority of this playerbase, was online, gaming, not giving a shit. It's like voting for the new president, I swear. I, myself, as a person who has played since the D1 beta, all the way till now, I am liking it. Haven't beaten the forge yet, but my dailies and weeklies are finally worth it again. My Titan is my main, and I sat there, and all I did was crucible, raids(that didn't give me anything) and kick the purple ball over the edge. My clan and I went through the last wish raid yesterday. It dropped higher than 600. "I'm not 600 yet. " That's a you problem. I'm happy they've stopped catering to the people who only log on once a month. I work 8 hours a day, 40 a week. When I come home, I cook dinner, and I'm on. For atleast 5 hours. My hunter and warlock aren't even 600. And I don't care, lol.

I like your optimism. But cmon. Could have easily raised light level a few weeks ago and solved this problem.

I have patience.

Forge and a raid. That's all that's planned, that's all you'll get. Congrats day one you've seen half of what there is to see and enjoyed none of it.

I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to Osiris in terms of volume of content, but in how it has been rolled out it’s been pretty poor. Most will be playing for a few weeks before they can reasonably attempt and be successful at completing the new stuff in Black Armory. There should have been some entry level forge to do while powering up and then the later forges could require he higher power

4 RepliesWell, I don't know....... At least I haven't walked away from Destiny, yet. Hey, I thought Icebreaker and Last Word was coming back!

Edited by Southern4x4: 12/5/2018 6:57:49 PMWhen they lock out paying customers for what will be a month or longer for some, yeah they blew it. Someone keeps putting extra strength "Stoopid" in the water cooler at Bungie HQ, and they have hourly water breaks.

Black Armory is just the first part of multi-week waves of new endgame activities meant to be rolled out at a regular pace over the course of an entire year. Not a big chunk of DLC meant to be taken in all at once and burned straight through. Bungie is putting us on a low burn this time. I like it, personally.

11 RepliesThis is so true! The dlc was out for an hour and people hit the forums to complain. what a joke! it is content that has been designed to mantain your attention for more then 12 seconds. I played for a few hours last night and still trying to grind out the heavy kills on the yellow bars! Looking forward to all this has to offer.

Maybe because its barely nothing more than a update? You want to launch something? Add real content that is playable for everyone that is 600, otherwise just dont charge for it and add to the game as a free update.

3 RepliesTotally agree. I’m not judging till the raid is out

They've already told us everything that is coming, if you can't derive what it's going to be from that, then we can't help you. Btw, it's not a raid and not a raid lair, it's going to be more like Crota or WotM, you think that's going to last for three or four months? This is going to be bad.
-
2 RepliesIt’s like the old proverb: “Don’t judge a DLC by its day one content” Wait, that can’t be right...
-
4 RepliesHad they raised light last week, I don't think that this would be quite so bad. Personally, I'm more disappointed with the lack of new campaign or destination over the next year.

2 RepliesEdited by LikwiD_SmOkE22: 12/5/2018 5:00:57 PMThe dlc is fine the people complaining didnt watch the vidoc where they said it wasn't going to be easy.. Everyone knew the light level was going up.. Anyone who didn't has to be living under a rock.. Also many people complaining haven't hit 600 yet so they fvcked themselves

I think it's just initial shock. There is a Raid Friday, Dawning event next week, and people will be able to complete the forge soon enough. It's a different way to do content upgrades. Instead of a massive drop that everyone consumes rapidly, it's a progression meant to extend endgame. I guess maybe its artificial in a way, but I think it's only fair to wait and see how this goes. In a few weeks the forge will be cake (like EP was and is now) All on all it's been less than 24 hours lol

3 RepliesNo. It sucks. Bungie sucks. REEEEEEEEEEEE
-
5 RepliesThe best stuff is always hidden and takes more than .000000001 seconds to find.
-
3 RepliesWhat people are forgetting is that they’ll likely complete the forge by the end of the week. Get power level higher then go finish the first forge.
